Those are some good prices on both taps and pin/insert combinations. Would save newer builders/mechanics money in getting started. Those of us who have been at this for some time already have taps and supplies of pins/inserts however. I can see that you have been very accommodating trying to get the sizes and pitches that are standard in this industry. I wish you well and when I need more pins and inserts I'll keep you in mind.

Heads up guys,
Bought some of the 3/8 10 pins and the quality is ridiculously poor. Flashback to "Chinese" of about a decade ago or more.
The stainless threads are like wood rasps. No way in hell I will ever use one on a cue.
The brass ones are a little better and might be useable. If they are even straight which I haven't examined as of yet.
JC
I apologize for this issue.
Honest speaking, I've noticed abt this issue you mentioned for 3/8-10 ss pin. we have some (around 10%) which have burrs on the thread due to cutting tool wear. I removed the burrs before delivery, but the tool line on the thread can't modify to perfect beautiful. I think the photo you present here is this one.
other bit better 3/8-10 ss pins, though the thread looking are not 100% perfect than brass pin, but I thought the appearance should be in the acceptance range.
my bad that I shall post those detailed informations along with other terms in this thread.
Next shipment from new supplier will arrive after 2-3 weeks. give me a chance so I can make the replacement & compensation to you.
other buyers who take the 3/8-10 ss pin, if you can't accept the quality, pm or email me. will send replacement after 3 weeks.

Thank you for the reply Perry. I will wait for replacements and post back here.
Just in case you don't understand though. Every piece of a finished cue must pass strict visual inspection. This includes the pin. If it's pitted and rough which can be seen with the eye easily then it simply cannot be used no matter what else is good about it. Hopefully the next batch can pass this test or please don't send but rather send refund.

The 3/8-10 pins I received look similar. Very poor quality and they dont fit any of the arbors I have. I ordered 4 of the 3/8-10 SS pins and used one of the best ones on a sneaky pete, so the pin was fine for that cue. I also wont be buying more pins unless the quality is greatly improved.
Perry....you can send me another 4 pins if the quality is improved. I suggest you purchase a few pins from known vendors and use those pins for quality comparison. I also suggest you give some of those pins to your supplier to use as a standard.
Bob
Hi Bob,
abt the not fit issue, we already discussed between our email couple of days ago.
the reason why the pins can't fit your arbor, is because your arbor min diameter (0.221") is smaller than the pin thread min dia (0.27") which you mentioned also.
abt the quality issue JC mentioned, give me few days to work it out.
welcome buyer contact me via PM or email if need discuss any technical issue.
