Are the ARL playoffs taking place in Vegas? I have heard nothing about it or did I miss an announcement and stream?

I agree -- The AR info has been few and far between. Time for Joe to chime in and give us a few updates. Even their web pages have been dated and lacking in news.

What a great game. Great rules.

It needs passionate and tireless promoting to get a foothold - like most new things. Once tried you'll most likely take to it. IMHO

yes, it's in Vegas. i think it's towards the end of the week as i recall - but don't quote me on that. and it's the only event on a 9ft, not bar box.

EDIT: i just heard that it was last night, and our boy Scott from GSO whippppped Deschaine! (hehehehe ;))

Some info

I am out at the event in Vegas. I watched the Finals of American Rotation.

The event actually took place at the beginning of the BCA National Event. I believe it ran during the same time as the 9 ball.

The finals came down to Shaun Wilkie and previous champ Joey Dupuis.

Joey ended up winning by a score of 140-100. Shaun played him safe in the last rack, allowing Joey to see a sliver of the 10 ball behind the 11. Joey made about a 65 degree cut sending the ball about 8 feet into the corner and going 3 rails for shape, landing perfect on the 11. He ran out, and the last ball gave him the 140 he needed to win.

It was a good match, and both players exhibited excellent sportsmanship.

I believe Joey got $2350 for the win, and Shaun got $1400 for 2nd.

This is a great game. Joe Tucker is a friend...he's a hell of a guy and doing a great thing for pool! Everyone should try hard to get involved with this.

Our boy from Marietta Billiard Club - Tommy Najar lost to Shaun to finish 3/4. Super stoked for him. Can't wait for our next season!

Not really, I just have a tough time keeping up. Waking to 100+ emails everyday mostly from fb keeps me too busy. My wife has had to help a lot too. BCAPL Nationals was great but unfortunately we couldn't stream and did mostly live updates via fb as the event went along. Had some gr8 minis for 3 days following, Johnny A won all 3. Shout out to Mike Robertson from NC who ran from the pool with 50 in hand to fill our last spot in a mini knowing his first opponent would be Johnny ;)
Sorry for the lack of updates folks, I'll try to do better.
