Great post.
I might have quit on you too.
I don't really think an "average" player can put up a 3 pack of 10 ball. IMHO.
No that's A speed however I'll play Shane for the world as long as its not my world

I thought you guys put up 10,000??
What happened to the 5 sets ahead?
Maybe the froze up money melted a bit due to global (or pool table) warming.
Seriously, that brings up a good point.
What does "froze up 10K" mean?
You showed too much speed.![]()
sounds like he did, but...
if the money is "froze" then play hard as you can to get to the finish line (5 ahead).
letting the opponent out of the bet early because his backer didn't like your high gear, or his horse's low gear, should have cost their side a buyout penalty, imo.
good shooting, nevertheless, Allen.
best,
brian kc

If you could quit anytime why not put up $1,000,000, it sounds better.
2 on six isnt worth the saver...........![]()
It should stay friendly. Everyone there will be carrying....

Well, I wished I could say that you were wrong on this one, but you were spot on. I came out of the gate way too strong. The guys backer pulled up after the first set when I won it 7-1. The guy I was playing was shooting like a one eyed fish out of water.
I did feel bad for him and didn't want to cause any kind of drama because I was at his house playing on his table and only had one other person with me.......compared to his five. I was kind enough to let him know that I'm not looking forward to shooting as bad as he does when I get to be his age
He gave me a few drinks and we played some friendly games while shooting the breeze.
He's decided that he's going to stick to checkers and dominoes for a while. We had a good time that was filled with a lot of laughter and joking back and forth.
Lou, I had Cowboy Bill with me so I knew I would be fine. 5 on 2 aren't good odds and Bill and I played it smart. I didn't mean to come out the gate as strong as I did and I surely didn't think his backer would pull up after the first set.
I guess it's one of those could've, would've, and should've moments. You live and learn especially when I'm not even over 30 yet.
Allen,
I am not being a wise ass. You said you are under 30, live and learn. In an earlier post you indicated that you were "carrying", (I am not suggesting use). You also had drinks and played for fun after.
I have to ask, what did you learn?
Phil
