I have not watched Dennis play much. Does he usually run out so quick and look like he could care less? He tore through that rack, and looks pissed off! (Cannot blame him, down 10 1)

I would imagine that this kind of domination over a player like Dennis O. Would raise him above Wu in the Fargo ratings or at least bring him right up there.

Was Shane really steadying himself that much in the last rack...or was the constant stopping to wipe his cue just poking Dennis? I know he did it periodically throughout the match, it just seemed he stopped a lot in the last rack.

Almost perfect pool from Shane. But if Orcollo can get slammed out with a couple of tight misses and bad breaks, anyone can. That said, Shane moves to favorite... breaking well, playing great safes and running out at nearly every opportunity.
 
This alternate break format isnt no where near as bad as some put it. Both players get plenty of chances and the matches has been intense.

It would suck to play winner break and be even at 5-5 and the other player runs out the set.

In other news, baby ko up 7-4. Winner players Shane.

Masterclass performance from Shane. Have not seen him play so well in previous W9B. As someone said, this could be his best chance this year.

Dennis beats Darren 11-2 then loses 11-1 to Shane
I am assuming he must be breaking well in the Darren match
Did his break suddenly desert him in in between matches or he could not adapt to different table?

This event is a Mosconi Cup points event for Europe but not for the USA. So it won't add to Dechaine's points, but it should give Mark Wilson some good food for thought if Dechaine doesn't win an automatic spot.

I think next year this event will be a points event for both Europe and USA (along with many other events for USA).

I gotta think that had MD gotten by Baby Ko, he could've beaten this Szewczyk. Could've setup an all USA semi final. Great showing by Mike and Hunter though!
