ONLY 62 spots left. :yeah:

someone sponsor Wu for the tournament please!

Is Wu Jia-Qing from Taiwan?
I would imagine his total cost would be several K.
$1000 entry
Air fair between $1600 and $3500. Let's say $2050.
Room and food 7x150 = $1050
So 4-5 K.
I think he would need a go fund me plan :)

Does he speak English?

He can afford it
These couple of months he didn't do too badly
Won CBSA event and finalist in another CBSA so that is about $20K+ plus $10K in azb prizemoney list so about $30K for past 2 to 3 months:smile:

So 1 person paid entry so far? Not really worth typing up. I can't see this filling up at $1000 a pop. I don't think many from out of the USA will be coming this year. Johnnyt

Seems like a higher percentage of foreigners this year. They just may save it.

LOL It's sure not because of the money if he doesn't show up. The guy got all the expenses paid by the chinese federation, and he's rich ( his stick is a fancy SW cost about 20k )

Glad to see Toastie's name...he is absolutely one of the best in the world. With all the Asian players, could this be the toughest US Open field ever?

Field is getting stronger. 25 of the world top 50 by Fargo Rating are entered. These ratings are current as of 9-28-15

50 spots open and we still need the likes of Dechaine, JHall, JRoberts, Sossei and Frost who are all in the Mosconi Cup contention. What about Saez, McMinn, Hillbilly, Double J, Bartram, Oscar, Shuff?

It would be nice to see a solid representation of American players since the field looks to be filled with international stars.

Pretty sure most of these guys will get in. I have a feeling that a few players who wait until the last minute may not get in. We had 126 last year and could well fill at 128 this year. You snooze you lose on this one.

Heh..heh... Butts...heh...heh.

Not many real sign ups, in fact I only see one. All the others are past US Open Champions and are given free entry. I'm sure it will pick up when we get closer but right now its only the players who have nothing to lose or any cash to pay out up front. Great field of players on that list though.

They get their entry fee paid, but I imagine that they still have to pay for all of their other expenses (like food, hotel, and/or flight/gas for car expenses), so I imagine that they do have quite a bit of money to lose if they do not get in the money in the tournament.

The international stars may be what's spooking them
