Karen doesn't HAVE to lose against anybody. Her and Hatch played, oh, maybe 20 times. If she doesn't have a winning record over Hatch, it's very close.

your level of stupidity is astounding. This match only supports variance in short race tourney pool. She would never win in a race to 100 but she can certainly win in a short race against a better player.

Was watching Earl on TV table but with an eye on Karen. Great moment was when she raised cue with both hands over her head after getting to NINE!! She thought she won.
Funny moment for sure.

I have always said the addition of women into the US Open 9 Ball was a mistake. You
don't have women competing with men in Professional Golf, Professional Bowling and
all of your TV sports. You want a circus atmosphere in pool you got it here and that is
just 1 more reason pool in the US is a joke!:mad:

don't agree at all.....it is an OPEN tournament......you pay your entry fee and have at it.....she was good enough to beat a top 3 player in the world....not circus atmosphere at all, actually makes it even more compelling

This is a sport where woman are equally capable of the same level of play as the men. There is nothing that needs to happen on a table that a woman can't physically perform as well as a man. I see the only reason you don't see more women playing at the level of the top men is that far more men play than woman, at least at every pool hall I've ever been to. Karen plays as well as most men I've seen play. The only reason you don't give her credit for being a monster is that she is a women. She would steal your lunch money all day and all night. There will be a time when there are a lot more woman playing "pro" level pool.
 
This is only one match. In perspective, I've seen Buddy Hall lose 11-0, same goes for Varner, seen him beat 11-Zip. This was during their prime. What I've always liked about her, she doesn't seem to rattle.
