I don't find his switching cues at all odd personally. Everyone points to the similarities between golf and pool. Why not have different cues for different

shots? I switch between my low deflection shaft and standard shaft easily depending on which one I feel like grabbing out of the closet that day. I

have different ways of aiming for each. I think ideally, I would use both in the same match, using the low deflection for longer shots where more

accuracy is required and using the standard shaft for most shots where cue ball is more important. I don't currently do this but if pool were

my profession and it was allowed, I could see this being my approach.

That is exactly what Alex did in his match with Frost in Vegas he had 2 cues he used both in almost every game for different type shots.

I believe he is playing in a Mezz cue with 900 shaft. I heard thru the grapevine that Mezz is coming out with a Alex Pagulayan cue.

I watched him play at the open on the pay per view and he was playing with a cue with a full ferrule on it. So it ain't the 900 shaft.

Just goes to show when you are as good as these guys you can play with a mop handle and still win...yes I've seen this happen.:wink:

Who used the mop handle and who did he beat. If anyone can beat you with a
mop handle you need to take up another game. I don't think any of those cues
would be confused with a mop handle.

Looks like he has several. I know he had the smaller Ultimate Rugged with him at the 14.1 tourney. Maybe he had the big one in the trunk. Don't know. I do know he was driving his mom's car. She told him if he scratched it, don't even come home. Disappear!!!!

He might not be now,but a while back he was using a Mezz but also was fond of a particular stitch-ring Schon. Tommy D.

That shaft might be an OB with an after-market ferrule.
