"Only take what the table will give you natural". "Take the longer position, but make the shot". "Don't try for position you all ready have" (Buddy Hall).
You see a lot of players, myself included missing a shot trying for better position. A perfect example is the guy SVB is playing in Russia. I don't think he every heard or read these things. Playing safe has not meant dirty pool in 30 years. Johnnyt

With jump sticks it is not the same game.

Apapt to survive. Dont have to like it!

I get great satisfaction out of a safety that doesnt allow a hop.

Tell them you should practice kicking and jumping.:grin:

Only if you line up the edge of your tiddly-wink to the center of the other tiddly-wink and snap it with TOW (Touch of Wink).

My Dad had quite a few of these.

1. You can learn from the worst player you come across.
2. The balls roll funny for everybody sometimes.
3. Ya gotta take a shot to make a shot.

During the 19 years I've lived in Florida, I've heard the expressions "dirty pool" and "nigger pool" on many occasions.

This is among the reasons I don't play much anymore.

My dad used to always say in reference to a shot to nothing in snooker...

If you don't think about potting the ball, how do you expect to pot it?

Too often I would think more about the where I wanted the white to land safe and I would always miss the pot and leave it over the pocket. Best advice I've ever had on these types of shots.
