Best wife ever

First I should say my wife is not a shooter which is surprising because her dad was a hell of a player back in his day. We knew each other when I lived in Alaska back in the early 90's we just got marrie last year been together 4 years total. Yeah she goes with me sometimes and will sometimes shoot but she's not very good and doesn't really express interest in getting lessons. But she does have her own low end cue just to have the same cue every time we play.

I had mentioned getting my matching Gilbert's back but the price was a little high and again she's not a shooter so spending $2700 on cues seems ridiculous to her and that was a bit out of my price range. So a couple nights ago I typed up a long email about how she always asks what I want for Christmas etc... How I really wanted another NICE custom cue. I sent her links to three that I loved were a little above the price I wanted but we're super nice. Then found one more that I liked And the price was right but she insisted NO even after we talked about it. Of course I was WTF because a few days ago it was fine not its not.

Well she let the cat out and told be I couldn't buy that cue because she already made a deal with Bill at cornerstone cues to purchase one of the New Carmeli cues I wanted. I know it's one of two cues just not sure which one. She wound up having to tell me cause she's doesn't use pay pal much and didn't want to mess up the payment. So it looks like I'll be getting a new cue for Christmas. She did tell me. You know that's all your getting right. lol.

But that's ok. I'm fine with that. I'll post up pics once I get it.

Carmeli's play great. Nice story, nice wife, and a nice cue. Congrats

I've heard nothing but good about them. I'm looking forward to getting it. She knows I didn't want to sell my Gilbert's but I had gotten divorced almost two years prior and sold them after her and I were together so I could pay off the remaining $ to the ex by the date we set.

I'm pretty sure she got the one I wanted the most even though it was a few hundred more than the price point. Normally we go all out on the kids (now 18, 18 and 24) and I always go all out on hers. I'm normally like just whatever. Doesn't matter don't want anything special. I get things throughout the year for me.

My wife sucks. Show her Lambros cues all the time. Still nothing.

Your wife is a keeper. My wife still doesn't understand spending hundreds and sometimes thousands for a "piece of wood" as she says..

She doesn't but when put it into a perspective she could understand it helps. Like last year For Christmas I bought her two pair of boots at $300 each plus other stuff. Now there is no way in hell IM OK with that but that's her thing and she wanted them.

Just like if I buy something for my car or Motorcycle. It's my thing. She may not agree with it but she understands she buys stuff I fm don't agree spending that much money on.

I don't ever ask for much when she asks what I want for Christmas. But this year I'm making up for the last 4 years. lol.

In the last 8 years my wife has bought me two 7' Valley tables, one set of Ridgeback rails, one Viking $400 cue, two OB shafts, had tables recovered twice, and many more pool related things...even two pieces of $35 caulk. Mines been a keeper for 50 years. I don't like breaking in new stuff. Johnnyt

You're a lucky man, James.
I'm telling you, my first wife. What a piece of work. After two and a half minutes of sex I rolled over to catch my breath. My wife said, "Hey! How about finishing me off now?" I said, "Okay," and smothered her with my pillow.
I get no respect. My second wife came home with a new vibrator and screamed, "I don't need you now!" I just smiled and put in the batteries for her.
My third wife said, "I'm sick of your laziness. Pack your bags and leave." I said, "I'm tired, you pack them."

I bought a old valley home table same size as a bar box. But wound up trading it off because it was messing me up too much when I went to the pool hall and played on the 8 and 9 footers. Only paid $275 for it so I wasn't out much.
I'll wait till we move next year and buy a 9' table

Love my wife between Christmas and our anniversary I got my 7 foot diamond smart pro am and my josey sneaky pete this year

I got ya beat! Mine is the MOST awesome!!!! She's an A player n loves my Schon so much... She SUGGESTED I get a Dzuricky made, AND also found someone who is GIVING me their South West spot. DZ will be here in January and the SW will be here in June. BOTH were her ideas!

Everything Bill carries is top notch and way better than the average bear if you catch my drift. And his trade back policy is the best in the business as long as you keep everything original to the cue.....don't change a thing.......you get 100% trade back towards a bigger cue........and trust me that day will come......I got my Prewitt from Bill and I am watching his cue inventory closely since I only have until next June to do any deal due to regulatory restrictions in CA.......Anyway, the point is you really can't lose when you are able to gradually move up the cue-maker ladder any time you want with Cornerstone's great trade-back policy.
