*** Mosconi Cup 2015 Updates Thread ***

Wheels are off for SVB. It's time for him to take a year off. He just doesn't add to the situation. Let's bring back some guys who have won this thing before.

I wrote this earlier somewhere else and thought I would share my thoughts here. Not that they matter but just felt like adding to the conversation.

"I haven't watched a single match(for some reason I can't view ESPN3) but, from what I have read, team USA needs to stop worrying about points during the year to get there and go with the guys that hold up well under pressure and can play as part of a team.
I always thought Johnny Archer was one of the greatest Mosconi players ever for both reasons.

Based on what I have heard both Skyler and Bergman are playing well under pressure. I don't think it's a knock to say certain guys aren't made for this format, it is what it is. The problem is, they aren't going to win with the cast they have now. Europe is just better playing as a TEAM than team USA is. At least that's how I see it."

I think a team of young guns with one experienced player would do well. The young guns have better fundamentals, are able to enjoy the pressure instead of succumb to it, and blend much better than the teams we've been putting together.

J.Hall, J. Berg, and Sky need to be on the team next year. I'll take Josh Roberts, and Shane as well. Let J. Berg be the clutch player though, Shane can be the leader but let Berg be the clutch.

Karl about to go up 4-2, SVB in his chair taking the heat, he looks like he doesn't want to be there at all right now.

I don't disagree entirely but for some reason I get the feeling Shane would rather just play and not be the leader. Could be wrong but that's how I see it. Might take some pressure off of him if he's just expected to play and not lead.

Someone who looks like they are still in it and wants to get back to the table. That's who

Nobody likes to sit after a brutal miss and watch the run out while the team is in trouble. The time to look hungry is if you get back to the table. He did, he ran. Anyway, let's go SVB. Run it, and hill hill!

Boyes is good, really good. His only weakness is his break, if he figured that out he'd be hard to beat by anybody.
