GC III questions

I just picked up a GC III and I want some info. The date code is HDK, model no. AK, and serial # is K6968. Curious as to it's age.
I dont want to restore it now but just clean it up. The pocket covers are copper color but extremely dull and discolored. How should I clean them??? I don't know if they were shiny or brushed finished...laquered or bare.
The cloth (rolled up) is only slightly worn and I'd like to reuse it....no ball burn marks, tracks or tears but it's a little dirty. Will a dry cleaner handle it ok without shrinking or should I just reinstall it and clean it on the table? I don't even have a room for it but I intend to relocate fairly soon so it'll go in storage for now.

Hey mitch, I'm not sure for the cloth but a lot of people have their pocket castings sand blasted and powder coated. I sanded and polished mine myself but that is very labor intensive. Hope that helps.

I would clean the cloth on the table.

IIRC - Brunswick refered to the feet and casting color as Bronze.
They were not particularly shinny.

I recently prettied up a GC 3 a little with some hammerrite paint. Tough stuff, should hold up well.
My castings were like yours, the plating worn off down to the zinc.
Before and after pics

We're looking to buy or build this year so when I move it again, the underside is going crinkle flat black, and Ill pull the rail trim and hammerrite that as well.
