That's right. You do in fact get less feel but tell that to Earl...and all the guys who put a tennis wrap around their cues in order to get LESS feel from it. That's what I think I read somewhere is the main reason Earl started using those tennis wraps; less feel.
I played with a Hohmann Lucasi Hybrid a few days ago and although it felt significantly different from the custom cue I was using at the time I really loved that sports grip at the back.
But then again, I have a very light grip and use wrapless.
I would like to see more of the custom cue makers offer sports wrap as an option.
Felt excellent. The cue it self was not that exciting but the wrap was awesome.
Also really liked how the wrap went all the way back.
I can't stand those linen, and leather wrapped cues that come short about 6 to 8 inches from the back.
