How will this big storm impact on your pool plans, maybe DCC travel, cancelled leagues, etc?

I know here in CT we'll only be getting from 3" to poss 10", a glancing blow here for a change.

Some folks are gonna get flat hammered though, up to a poss 30".

How will this weather effect your pool?

Be safe!

We are expecting 8 to 10 inches here in NC. That's a major inconvenience for use because we aren't used to it but its something we can cope with. Every time I think of going to the DCC I keep thinking of getting stuck in a blizzard way the heck out of town. I hope that one day we can have events of that magnitude here in North Carolina where the weather is better.

I was thinking about going to DCC today but Louisville is in a winter storm warning currently. I may hold off making that drive today.

The weather is just something to deal with during the DCC. Last time I checked the local weather forecast, the system will have a sharp cut off of snow just north of Louisville. The major snow fall will be the SE region of Ky. with up to 20" possible.

In the last three years, the weather has had little impact on the DCC. Some of the roads are a little slick after you get off of the interstate, but, if you use a little common sense and take your time, you will get there in good shape. The weather has never been a huge factor for me when I have attended.

Southern IN looks to get 1-3 inches, not that big of a deal. This system is narrow and depending on where you live, 20 miles could be the difference of 5-8 inches to 8-14 inches. I doubt I get to the DCC today, but, I may try Saturday or Sunday depending on the road conditions. I am about 1 hour SE of the DCC.

We had APA Tri Cup scheduled for this evening and it was cancelled due to the weather and rescheduled for Saturday at 2 PM. I plan to try to make that but that is also a solid 30 min trip on a good day. I have 4 wheel drive, but, it doesn't mean I like to push my luck..lol

Probably the front end of the event was no prob but...

I was talking with Jeremy Sossei last year on his *drive* home from DCC to CT in the snow because there were no avail flights.:)

That was a l-o-n-g ride home...

I went to SBE once.... it snowed. I was 3 days late getting home. I had stuff everywhere, but it all came trickling in.

I was hoping to get to see you at DCC. I will be there midweek. Maybe we could have dinner and watch the one-pocket.

I drive out Sunday morning for the DCC, hoping the roads are good by then!

I am from CIncinnati too. I am thinking it will be fine even by tomorrow. The wife decided to take a sick day so we thought about heading down there. That would be nice with less crowds today because of the weather.

With only being 2 hours north east of louisville, The weather channel says we may see an accumulation of one inch.

What a buncha pussies.
The guys at DCC can handle any kind of bank....even snow banks.

our local tri-cup got postponed a month.

I live a block away from a pool hall so I'll be playing on Sunday even if there is 2 feet of snow ;)

We are expecting another inch or so this weekend..........of rain........"Thank God"..........but it means more snow for the rest of the nation.

Yeah, we really don't have any snow forecast up here, even if we did it rarely snows in my basement.

I think at my table will be the best place to be!!
Hope I'm not too sore from the clean up!
Until it's done snowing though it's drinking and pool at home for me!
Some DCC and football mixed in too!!
