Oh, good God Chopdoc... That's harsh man! Lol, I don't think I ever saw that guy do re-cuts or overlapping points.
It does vaguely remind me of a Cousins cue with the buttsleeve.
Snowmon, I'll post better pics of the pin when it arrives. Looks like a 3/8x10 to me though.

Ned Morris came to mind although I've never seen anything of his that looked like this. I'm pretty sure he's based out of Colorado though.

I am leaning towards Martinez.
Do you mean someone from showcase? Or someone else?Me also..
The recuts were the 1st clue..
Rumor has it..
There were some cues built out of the Martinez shop using Martinez components, but the cues were not built by Ernie..

If the cue has a 3/8-16 pin with a diamond on top, then it is a Showcase made by Ernie Martinez, '94 or older
If the pin is a 3/8-12, then it's an Ernie Martinez made after '95, and a brass pin would indicate a newer cue, '06-current.
The Ted has spoken.
It's settled by the preeminent expert on Ernie's cues. And that's no joke.
I thought it had that Martinez look,I've seen a bunch of them here in Denver but I'm no expert.
And every one that I have played with played pretty much the same. Jam up and jelly tight.
Very consistent cue builder.
