A question for the moderators (and members).

Pool player

Good afternoon, everyone.

I'm currently writing a semi-autobiographical book about my thirty-something years as a pool player, mingled with a few coaching hints, trickshots, and anecdotes meted out by colourful characters met along the way.

I thought some invaluable feedback and constructive criticism might be gleaned if a brief sample was posted up on here for the good folks of the AZB forum to review. I have a slight problem, however, in that the segment I have in mind contains one curse (the F word) amongst the eight-thousand others in the chapter. I am unable to blank it out as the eighteen individual pages (with diagrams) have been converted to JPEG files to render them compatible for messaging.

My question is, therefore: Would this one instance of swearing be considered acceptable as being part of a larger body of text, or would it be advisable to refrain from posting? I've only recently joined and keen not to receive a ban!

Many thanks.

Why are you asking this question to the members ?
We don't make the rules, and we don't enforce them either,
Because we are not in the drivers seat and we are not the ______ president .

That aiming forum is sounding more interesting by the minute! Where is it? :)

The world needs heroes....so you can be like Dionysus descending into Hades...
....if you don't go insane or lose the majority of your IQ, try and rescue a few lost
souls and bring them back to the main forum....give them some rehab before they post
here.

This is the link....maybe take a long string with you to trace your way back...

Expressing my gratitude for that link, sir, seems mildly flagellant but thank you, it's much appreciated.

Navigating one's way there, night and day, was a matter of a moment, the gates to the abyss stood wide; but to climb back again, to retrace one's steps to the upper air - there's the rub, the task.

Contact the owner or a moderator, not the members.

Many thanks, sir.

I thought it might have been possible to contact the moderators via this forum, being a rookie here I wasn't sure of the etiquette. Regards the members, I was just keen to learn their opinions really.

Thanks again for your advice, though, I'll contact the powers that be directly. :)

Its a special room in hell.
Once in you will be tortured by nonsense for eternity.
It's a place for people looking for the magic bullet to learn how to play well almost immediately.
It's the same problem that golfers have.
I ventured in a couple times and posted a comment. The answers I got made no sense to me. And I have 55 years playing this game.
Enter at your own risk.

I have been selectively forbidden from posting in the aiming forum after a disgusting character assassination smear campaign was launched on me.

'They' finally got the selective censorship that they have long wanted.

I personally think that every member should post there after understanding what the main bone of contention there is & what it is all about.

I also do not see how a book can be current without including something about what amounts to a 20 year 'war' on the subject.

Best 2 All,
Rick

Sample page from the table of contents.

Good afternoon, everyone.

Here's a sample page from my table of contents. Chapter twenty was the section I had in mind to post up for critical review.
