Its George,Mike Roberts, built some quality cues back then
his great fame at case making,probably accounts for why he
is not better known for his really nice cues
he studied under billy schick and learned his craft
he recently called me and is making me a bunch of cases
I always liked his cases most of all,quality case,pretty leather
nice fitting but most of all I like Mike himself
he is really a character,i bet you met him when you were
in texas

I definitely dig it. And you made the right choice. At this point I really would be pretty conservative with the Cortland. This cue is nicer with the leather anyway.
Not to pick on the cue, but it was refinished. What am I seeing on the bottom of the butt cap?
Also, I am curious, what will be the partner to that cue in that case? :smile: Gotta be impressive.

Help set up the equipment that's where the rumor that he made them came from. The actual cues were made by Mike Wheeler and Wayne Anderson from Bella Sera.

I am stunned to hear that Mike Roberts never made a cue
I personally bought several from him,before Wheeler ever worked for Billy schick,i think
i knew that wheeler made many of the schicks,wheeler is a great cue maker himself
if you can find him
perhaps Mike Roberts had some help in his shop,it never occured to me to ask him
we were and still are friends
i know he has trained some people to help him with cases,but Mike carefully oversees all the work
in the mean time i will entertain a small wager that Mike built the cues
after I speak with Mike I will entertain a somewhat larger wager
Never let it be said that Dean Campbell was afraid to bet the "NUTS "
