How Much Room Is Needed

Looking to know how much room is needed for a Valley 8 foot table. Ive looked all over the internet and they all have different specs. My room size is 24x14. That is the distance from one wall to the other. Is that enough room or should I look at a 7 foot valley. Right now I have a 7 foot Brunswick Bradford with plenty of room. Thanks. Michael

Yes good for 8'. If ball is right on rail and straight shot with big stroke needed, you may hit the narrow wall. You have a 7' now, do you have have another 5 -6 " each side for room? If so, you're good

So you want to fit a slightly larger table in your room. Do you feel cramped on the sides with your current table? (The long way is much longer than needed.) That is, if you had 6-8 inches less, would there be a problem for you?

On a related point, ignore the horrible table posted above as an image. It was invented by people who want to sell you a larger table than you will be comfortable with. It provides for ZERO back swing when the cue ball is on the cushion.

13' 10" x 18' is not enough room for a 9' table, if using 58" cues.
For an 8' table 14' x 19' would be ok, but still no room for chairs.

Who wants to play this game using a short cue? Certainly not I.
IMO the chart must be for sales people who are pushing tables.

14' x 24' room is fine for tables with a 44" x 88" playing surface.
