Good evening, everyone.

A few friends and I were estimating how many frames of pool we had played in our lifetimes. My total was guessed to be approximately 150,000, not so much as I might have imagined given my age, experience and devotion to the game.

What is your guess?

Very rough guess: 100,000. A lot of those were one pocket which tends to go slower;). On the other hand when I first played there were many nights that I played six ball until dawn.
 
Without putting too much thought into my computations, I would answer a 'shit load'...... :thumbup:

Me, too, Bob! :)

If one estimates a typical game of pool involves walking a hundred yards or so around the table, back and forth to the chair, bar etc, I've walked over eight and a half thousand miles.

I'm virtually an athlete!

Hard to say since I don't know you, but I'd say your guess that you've played approximately 150,000 frames of pool is about right.

On the other hand, if masturbating counts as sex, then maybe I've played more than 17 games.
 
Most one-pocket players are still on their first game.

I was watching a match online about an hour ago and I think the second guy at the table is still looking at his first shot after the break.
 
I played three games of snooker on a trap 5x10 that was magic...
....I even saw the chalk dust fly every time I hit the cue ball...
...took me the third day in a money session to get to that space.

I've played a few hundred games pretty good.

A conservative estimate for me would be according to my cyphering......550,000.

For 30 years I didn't miss 3 days in a row without playing....at least 50 games a day ...360 days a yea

The actual figure is probably much higher.
 
It would be easier to figure out how many times I've gone to the bathroom in my life time.
 
At 50 games a week, for 57 years, the total is 148,200. I'm positive that it was more than 50 games a week, since I lived in the Pool Rooms....

I have had some great times....
 
I haven't estimated the number of games but I have attempted estimating the number of balls I've pocketed and missed.......shots taken........and I quit doing any more calcs when I realized it was literally in the millions.
