Gold Crown vs Diamond Pockets

No kidding?
3 Diamond mechs ganged up on it and didn't quite get it right.
Table played a lot tougher when the new cloth wore out.

So, in all this time that has past, you'd still rather complain....than do something about it.....send your damn rails to Mark and be done with it:rolleyes:....I DID NOT WORK ON YOUR RAILS!

At 4 1/4" someone had to do the work, the work was done wrong if the pocket miter angles were no corrected from the factory inconsistent miter angles, meaning a 143 miter isn't nearly as bad on a 5" corner pocket, but then the pocket is reduced in size, you'd better correct the miter angles are it'll cause balls to rattle bad.

And what exactly are miter angles? Can you post a pic of what you mean?

You guys make my head hurt.... A miter angle is the opening of the pocket where there is a compound angle cut down and into the pocket of the pool table....

I don't know why RKC even messes around answering to such silly questions with you clowns...

If you don't understand something as complicated as a pool table then you should probably leave it alone...

I will tell you this. I have to be honest here. But I shot some balls into the corner pockets earlier today. No OB, just rolled balls down the rails into the corner pockets. The table seemed to accept about like what you would expect 4.25 inch pockets to accept.

Maybe its just me. It probably is.

Still waiting for RKC to tell me what miter angles and down angles are.

Since most are against my recommended 3 3/4 inch pockets, I would use 4 inch. This will start being the normal size in more tournaments, because any table :)with any larger pockets is too easy.

You are welcome to play on my GC III with extended rail 4 1/4 cut pockets.
10 ahead. You break and run out , you win the game. You break and dont run out you lose a game.
TAR changed its pkts from 4 1/8 to 4 1/2 because only a handfull of players could play on the too tight pkts.
I will gamble on this prop.

If you search my posts, you'll find out I explained everything about tight pockets....even used diagram drawings explaining what makes up tight pockets.

You must be getting senile .
Mark does Anniversaries only according to you.
Besides, are you paying his fees?

Really Joey, you try throwing Mark in my face all the time as he's the greatest table mechanic of all time, you've commented on all his work, Gold Crowns included....you could have had your rails rebuilt by Mark a long time ago, but no.....you'd rather just complain to hear yourself complain....and why would I pay for Marks work, they're your rails.....stop being so cheap and send them to him.

I should have sent them to him instead of waiting for you to get in town 5+ years ago.
I made a mistake in believing you.
Pfft!

I don't have time to search 1,000 posts. That's why I was asking. If you can send a link to the specific post/thread that would work. If not I guess i'll just go on wondering.

These guys have spent their valuable time documenting and sharing this knowledge. If you don't have the time to click the search button, and expect them to hand it to you on a silver platter, then I agree, you should just go on wondering.

If you search on realkingcobra you get 40 pages of results. At 25 threads a page that's 1,000 possibilities. And unless the title is very specific I would have to search each and every thread, looking for the info that he mentioned. That could take the rest of the week.

If only there were some a way to narrow those down to posts that were relevant to certain search terms or if only there was some website that you could enter words into and they would magically give you links that gave all the info that you need to know and then some.... ahh, but those are just a pipe dream I guess.
