$2000 Bank Bend Challenge

If I don't see any good bends, I might have to jump on this. So far I haven't seen anyone use the best technique for wicked bends.
People have posted some videos on Youtube showing some fairly wicked bends. If you want to see some, I have them embedded on the bank bend resource page.

But these people have not entered the contest. I hope they do.

Good luck,
Dave

Does anybody plan to enter this? Surely there are many people out there who can do better than the tiny bend I posted. The $200 is still up for grabs; and if somebody can really bend the ball, the $2000 offer is still on the table.

Good luck,
Dave

$2000 Bank Bend Challenge

The first person who can post a video showing a bank shot bending around a 1" obstacle (less than 1/2 a ball width) will win $2000! And if nobody is able to beat the challenge, the person who is able to bend the ball the most (i.e., more than anybody else) will receive $200. The competition will remain open until the end of July, 2016.

Here's a video showing you how to set up your shot and take the simple measurement required:

NV H.4 - $2000 Bank Bend Challenge

More information, including the detailed rules for the challenge, can be found on the $2000 Bank Bend Challenge website.

I will update this thread with the attempts as they are posted so we can see who will get the cash, and so people will know what they need to beat.

Bob Jewett and I look forward to seeing the best that is possible, and we look forward to rewarding it with the cash.

Good luck,
Dave

The $2000 prize might be tough to capture, but the $200 should be easy money for anyone who is able to bend a bank even a little. Again, the entries to date, along with the rules for entering, can be found on the $2000 Bank Bend Challenge page.

Let's see some videos and find out the best that is possible.

I never thought it would be so difficult to give away free money.

Good luck,
Dave

Surely, somebody can bend a bank more than I did in the current first-place entry (and do so with accuracy). Here's the video:

Dr. Dave's video entry currently in first place

The ball is barely bending at all.

Is there nobody out there interested in earning and easy $200 (and possibly $2000) for making a single shot? Again, everything you need to know to enter is here:

$2000 Bank Bend Challenge

Show us what is possible,
Dave

Weren't JB and Elvi going to consort on a video showing big time OB bend on a bank?

I mean, good grief. After all the chest beating -- what happen to the heavy hitters that were going to show us the big banana?

Lou Figueroa
disappointed

Here's the best bend I've seen to date:

https://youtu.be/95rg5zhrt44?t=139

The best entry to date for the $2000 Bank Bend Challenge is the following video, where I bend the ball only a very small amount:

current 1st place entry from Dr. Dave

I sure hope somebody can beat that!

Also disappointed,
Dave

Ever seen the movie Frozen, Lou?

I'll talk to some guys and see if Richie Rich can pull it off

I too long ago saw him shoot a simple shot in the side pocket but since he did not want to hit the ball that the CB 'had' to hit after contact he made the CB go over the ball to the rail & back out for position.

It was just very interesting to watch the nonchalant manner & cock sureness manner in which he shot it.

All Best Wishes for You & Yours & Richie & His.

I'll keep bumping this until somebody can post a decent video for the cash. It shouldn't be that tough to beat the current 1st-place video.

Examples and instructions can be found on the $2000 Bank Bend Challenge page.

Good luck,
Dave

How much do I earn if I can make the object ball bend in a complete circle?
I don't know, because we're not offering anything for that. But if you can bend the bank more than anybody else, and do so while following all of the rules of the challenge, you are guaranteed $200, and have a chance at $2000.

Good luck,
Dave

Anybody out there plan to enter the $2000 Bank Bend Challenge? Again, the $200 prize will go to the best effort, and the $2000 is also up for grabs.

It would be a shame if nobody can bend a bank more than in my current 1st-place video.

FYI, the contest closes at the end of July.

Good luck,
Dave

I just want to remind everybody that there is less than a month remaining before the $2000 Bank Bend Challenge closes. Entries will not be accepted after July 31, 2016.

Good luck,
