$2000 Bank Bend Challenge

For the next posted challenge, we should all design cues for each of us to vote on, and the winner gets their very own custom cue built for free.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

It's funny you don't point any fingers at the people who created a challenge and said the following about it:

- "I still think it is possible based on some of the recent unofficial videos we've seen."

- "That is simply ridiculous. Bob and I have every intention to pay out the cash. And it is insulting when people (not just you, but several others) imply that we would go back on our word."

- "if somebody wants to cheat, and we have no way of detecting the cheat on video, and if everything else is in compliance with the challenge rules, then we will still honor our word and pay the money."



So they post a challenge that they think is possible to beat and it's ridiculous to think they wouldn't pay... then someone beats the challenge so it MUST be fake. How does that not add up to you Dr. Caveman? Even if it was fake, they're still willing to pay. lol I should have just faked it, it would have probably been much easier and taken me less time. I set up everything as they asked except my paper roll was slightly too far over, which made the challenge even harder for me. It's clear I won and it's clear they had no intention of paying.
 
These guys would have been blacklisted from the action room already.

However your 2billion dollar challenge video was hilarious.

guys he banks the ball off the rail and it does a full masse. lol!!

Specifically, what was it about Cleary's video that doesn't meet the contest rules specs?

Are you saying that he didn't place the reinforcement donut far enough away from the tp roll? Or visa versa?

Or that the 9b didn't curve enough?

Or just that you think it was somehow faked?

Please read the challenge rules (the entire page) very carefully. They can be found here:

Even if your video were "legitimate and free from trickery," it still would not qualify for the $2000 prize. Again, if anybody disagrees with this, they have not read or understood the rules. Rules are rules, despite what anybody thinks or writes on AZB. The final ruler measurement (between the edge of the tube and the center of the donut) must be 1/8" or less. The goal for the challenge was not only to get the required amount of bend, but do so accurately (so such a shot might actually be useful in a game situation).

BTW, I think Bob and I have figured out how you created your video. When I can find the time over the next few days, I will attempt to duplicate and beat it, while also satisfying the challenge rules (except for the "legitimate and free from trickery" part).

The way cleary has acted in this thread reminds me how renfro acted in the latest thread exposing ultraskin tips lack of county of manufacture.

You're both are trying to prove a point, and you both are taking the lowest possible road to achieve the point.

1. You never intended to pay. That's very obvious.
2. You nit picking my setup is ridiculous. It made the challenge even harder and bent the ball even further than asked.
3. You knew, no matter what, you would be able to nit pick your way out of paying, which is exactly what I and other said you would do.
4. It's funny how stumped a couple of physicists are...
5. I can't wait to see you try to fake this. It's gonna be fun. Cannot wait!
6. Bob is more than welcome to come over to my house. I hope he has $2000.

Honestly, given some other comments about just how large the curve was, you video skills, and the video coming down so quickly, to a casual observer it all seems very fishy.

Can you explain how in your video that the object ball was able to bend so much while after the shot the cue ball pretty much didn't move? In order to get such a masse bend on the object ball, the cue ball needs to have spins itself. Your video didn't not show spin on the cue ball.
