More Affordable Predator Revo Cues

It's ok

I kinda like it. It looks a little weird, ugly or maybe just different. But so what. I
thought it was supposed to play better than conventional cues.If it does, then
I think maybe Predator wants it to look completely different from anything else.
They sure achieved that. No one will say " look at that cue, is it a Joss, or Gina
or, or,or ".. But I like all kinds of cues, fancy, with a million Ivory, silver inlays,
or completely plain, I would love to try one. But my only chance would be for
Deano to get one . Then I could go borrow it, telling him I got a buyer for it.
Keep it a few months, saying the buyer is on the shorts right now having to pay
for his grandmothers eye operation, but still wants it. Then once I decide I don't
like it, like I always do, send it back *****ing and moaning about the cost of
postage, and all the time I wasted trying to help and old friend out. But this is
not the kind of cue Deano would ever have, so I'll just have to be satisfied borrowing
whatever he has. That's okay, as I'm always willing to help.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I find this much more appealing that the other models that don't match the shaft at all. My friend has his on a BK butt and it was the best improvement for that thing yet.

OMG...please NO. A picture of Tramp in a thong, Revo or not, would likely cause instant blindness! LOL

I'll tell you, Scott, I'd rather walk into my pool room in nothing but a thong, rather than walk in carrying one of those cues.
I like the shaft, though, and wish I could try one. It would look great on an ebony butt with some thin black and white bushka rings. :)

I don't get these shafts at all, Cuetec has fiberglass coatings and no-one save Earl and bangers use them, Predator does the same thing, and people are dying to get one. I tried one, the normal Predator shafts feel dead enough, these feel like you are shooting with a, well, a carbon fiber rod. Jarring hit, no feel in the cue. Bleh. Seems like just more wasted money for equipment hounds that show up to league with a new jump cue every month "to play better".

I had my CC out and ready to buy..........but.........just don't dig the design and color scheme.

Waiting again.......

Think your over simplifying this shaft a lot. I've tried those cuetec and no it doesn't hit the same. In terms of feel I don't feel they are more hollow than regular predator shafts. I like a very stiff and firm hit and no shaft hits as firm as the revo. You want a more organic experience then that's you but from a performance perspective it does what it advertises. Overpriced ? Most likely but then again if we told the average person a sw is a couple grand they look like your crazy for overpaying for wood.

I want to see them take the flat black of the BK3 butt and use that for a solid black butt, grey butt cap w/ Predator logo and that's it...available in black linen wrap or wrapless. I could even go along with a reasonably sized dark grey Revo logo on the forearm. Skip the bright colors, skip the ugly chrome butt caps, keep it simple and cheap and all about performance. Seems like they should be able to offer that for around $700 maybe. I would buy that. Oh...and it should accept the predator extension.

My revo on my old p3 butt with extension. Much better.

I spent $ for this cue and think the Revo shaft would look great on this cue. I refuse to spend a dime on any of those ugly Revo cues. Only when the shaft is available will I spend another $ on a Predator product.

Interesting Rick! Another AzBr (Outlander) showed up at pool school in MN a couple of weeks ago with that exact same cue...with the Revo shaft. He had purchased it from Seyberts in MI.

hang-the-9...You are the FIRST person I have seen, out of several hundred, who actually played some (did you hit more than a few balls?) with the Revo shaft, that thought it was BS. Comparing the Revo to Cuetec is simply baloney. None of the same characteristics, nor any kind of similar construction. To each their own I guess. My experience has been the complete opposite, and the Revo is now my main player.

Greg...Nope, not yet. I just spoke with Outlander, and I was mistaken. He did buy that Predator, but it did not come with the Revo. He did purchase the Revo/P3 combination, but it only had the unilock joint. He did try my Revo with some Samsara butts that he had with him, to see if there was a difference in the feel of the radial pin vs the unilock.

That is interesting because that cue has the radial pin. So they are selling the shaft aftermarket now?

Is it okay if I continue to play with my old Keith Josey or are we all required to buy this?

LOL Nobody is trying to force you to even try one of the Revo shafts. I'm just giving feedback on my own experience, and those of people who I have let play with mine...as this is a thread about Revo shafts.

I hear you. I spent something like $700 for that Willie Hoppe piece of trash they put out, and now I can't buy a shaft from an aftermarket shaft company? Am I missing something here?

Predator really out-smarted themselves on this one.

Never heard of that model. Sounds interesting. What year? What joint does it have on it?
