More Affordable Predator Revo Cues

Wake me up when they are selling Revo shafts with a 3/8x10 pin.

Lesh

And at 12.25 mm...

If Darren Appleton can have one at 12.4mm why can't we??

And when they do. I'm ordering from Heath manning cues -there is not a dealer who is better. Great guy, great service.

I think a thinner shaft will happen before 3/8-10.

real ?

Are the points decals or painted or spliced, or cnc ? Does anyone know ?

I'm in for an SP2. If I do not like it look for a sale .....and it will not be returnable as the shaft will roll 100% with no nicks.

I was literally 1 click away from purchasing one of these last night on Seyberts with the payment plan option. Then something stopped me as i realized i have 13 custom cues already with 3 others on order.

Maybe 1 day ill just purchase the shaft in 3/8x10 that will fit 95% of my cues. Last LD shaft i purchased for the same purpose never saw 1 shot before i sold it though, so we will see.

This concept though has me intigued.

I bought one. Yes it's not that visually appealing. But who cares about anyone's opinion anyway. It plays jam up just don't know why the hell Predator decided to sell it with a Soft Victory tip. Shot about 20 racks with it and it started to mushroom already. They specifically say in the box that any altering to the shaft will void the warranty so I'm sketchy about having my local guy reshape the tip or even swap it out for me with out putting sand scratches on the shaft to find out they won't come out. Been calling predator to see who in my area has been trained to change tips or even reshape it but haven't been able to get through to anyone. 20160906_195743.jpg

I picked up 2 revo p3s when I got mine. One started shrooming well before the other. It's those victory tips they are just garbage imo. I replaced mine with a kamui ss with the local cue guy no issues.

It's sharp. Nice to see it assembled. I had to flip a coin...both (SP1&2) are as nice looking or as ugly as the other. Personally they are different not to be compared to other cues. Enjoy your new purchase.

Seyberts can change the tip.

The colors that are shown on websites make it seem a bit bright. The cue in picture a few posts up does not look that bad. I've seen customs that look far fuglier than that.

So did the SS Kamui play a pig part in its playability? Better or worse?

These cues look like they have some sort of "spray on" points and "spray on" cat logo. Is this cue nothing more than a core butt with a decal wrapped around it? Tell me this isn't so!

On their website it says it is built from the C4+ Butt Technology, far from a decal cue. Do some research.

C4 butts have a slimmer diameter. If it is similar to the iKon2 I like it already.

Above pic definitely looks nicer than I expected, colors seem a little more tame than the marketing photos. If it wasn't for that cat inlay in the point it would actually be a pretty fine looking cue. As it is, I take back my hate a little bit, it's not so bad. Looks kinda mean actually...I wouldn't be surprised if some Predator pros put this into play. Probably pairs well with a BK3 too.

Guys if I get a chance. Tonight I will take some up close pictures of the cue. The look is growing on me. One of things it took a lil getting used to was the color of the shaft when you are down shooting it feels like something isn't right, visually speaking of course. Just have to change the tip. I should be good to go after that.

If the points are spliced into the cue, why does the wood grain in the cat match the adjacent wood grain of the cue?
Am I to understand that the points are ebony or some other wood spliced into the maple and then a maple cat is inlaid into the splice?

No way.

No how.

Not if it came with a guarantee I'd break Willie Mosconi's 526.

ive heard great things, but more of a full maple shaft guy myself! no LD no way! Only thing I don't like about the revo is that it sounds horrible when you hit it against any balls. Like when you're clearing the table. Sounds like racking with a delta.

Not really. Nothing negative about either. Breaking the balls is as loud as is gets. Everything after that is mellow.
About the Revo wrap...would like more wood showing (about 4-5") on butt end and less wrap. I use the wrap for rear hand placement. (as a marker). The black shaft will take a little time to get used to but should not be a big deal. Definitely way over priced but that's life.
