I see everyone jumping on the bandwagon all pissed off and disappointed about the stream. Pat Fleming is a stand up guy and will make it right you can count on that. He has brought us more memorable moments with pool then anyone in the business.

Every streamer out there has had problems in the chain of streaming pool that gets to you eventually. Give Pat a chance to figure it out and make things right. He deserves that much and our support. I cannot imagine a pool world without Accu-Stats in it, we are lucky to have Accu-Stats.

I agree, I can't see this organization/Pat not making this right. That said they hurt themselves by not expressing that from the get go.

I have no doubt that AS's is doing everything they can to fix this. Anybody with the long running reputation that they have deserves the benefit of the doubt. With that said OMG it's brutal trying to watch this live stream:angry:

Yes it sucks for all of us pool nuts because we want to see the great matches but thankfully it is the worse of our troubles. This past year I was on a flight where a lady was practically convulsing for the whole flight coughing into a paper bag and had to wear a paper mask. When we landed she apologized and said it must have been an awful flight for me. I replied to her that I am sure the flight was worse for her then it was for me.

No. People should not just sit there and be okay with this, especially those who purchased the entire week. Luckily I wasn't one of them.

Two years in a row, the tournament has been held at the Norfolk. Two years in a row, there have been issues with the stream. Did anyone receive refunds last year? I know I didn't.

So I'm open minded if anyone wishes to explain why the fans should continue to support a company that is charging it's customers for a product that only works 15% of the time.

15% of the time? I would say the majority of Accu-Stats streams go off without a hitch. I watch most of them and the quality of production is worth the price of admission. I don't think anyone should be okay with it at all but give Pat time to make it right, I am sure he is busy and its hectic there. It could be equipment failure or internet issues, I am sure they are working frantically to fix it. I know Jim is working behind the scenes dealing with people, they will make it right no question in my mind about that.

15% is a rough guess of what's worked this year.

Give him time?

Did you miss the part where they were at the same location last year, and had the same exact issues? How much time should we give them?

A bit off topic but I'd love to see the Open back in Chesapeake. Maybe take care of the streaming gremlins at the same time.

I don't know what the issues are at the venue. It could be simply a promise from the venue that the internet connection would be solid next time around and then they get there and it is not. Really I don't know what happened last year or this year. I just know the majority of streams go smooth from Accu-Stats.

I know they aren't out to rip anyone off and if you contacted them for a refund I am sure they would give you one no problem. I just hate seeing people jump on the bandwagon with pitchforks and torches who are supposed to love the game. We can't overlook all Pat has done for the game and all of us fans for many years now.

No. It is overpriced. In Europe we get streams like that for free, even for minor tournaments. I won't even start how Accu-Stats fairs when compared to Kozoom...

give Pat time to make it right.

Excuse me, but who Pat is? Should I know him? Is he a relative of mine? Nope. He's a business man and we've made a business transaction. I/we paid for a stream service which is confirmed and the money are already in Pat's warm pockets and he should deliver the stream service he was offering. Which he didn't. We should be talking about refunds by now, not giving...Pat...time to get it right. Yet the word "refund" as an option hasn't come up. No, it's preferable to give...Pat...a some time. Because Pat deserves it, he's our brother. Like all the other dinosaurs that still ruling the US pool scene 50 years now. Take our money and all the time in the world! We deserve this.

Since I got to know...Pat... and we're buddies now: Hey, Pat, how about giving me the stream for free next time? How about that, buddy? I'll pay you whenever I can. Just give me time, mate. Thanks for understanding.

Lenny - Do you know if they used 'Audio Video Web' as their 3rd party service this year, or was it someone different? AVW usually does well with PPV events when it comes to delivery but when I've worked with a different service I've had issues.

Just curious...

This is quite simple really. I'm not debating or questioning the things he's/they've done in the past. This stream is awful & has been handled worse. (Admittedly) Hundreds of unreplied emails. Two from me which were very respectful with the second asking for a full refund after Monday morning session; no response yet. They have time to post in stream area the matches (which just so happens to have a place to purchase the stream) but can't post a simple apology, explanation, & let us the paying customer know that we will be taken care of one way or another??? I want to know FROM THEM this will be made right. They haven't done that.

I don't live in the world where person A screws up & then person B gets pissed off & we execute person B for being being upset. Not sure how we're the bad guys in this order of events?

I'm sure you've known them a long time & hate to see so much negative said about them & their product. This is 100% on them for not getting in front of angry customers. And to be honest, it pisses me off even more when others say "they'all make it right, I promise ". No offense, but I don't know you from Adam. If they came on here and said I will be made right then I wouldn't have been & still be so upset. It's got almost nothing to do with $66. It's been a poor product with poor customer service & to this point I feel as if I've been taken advantage of and screwed outta my money.

In Europe you don't have the US Open 9 Ball so the price for you to see it sure beats the cost of coming to the event in person. As for who Pat Fleming is, he is in the BCA Hall of Fame. Glad to see the respect honorable people are given here. I am willing to bet what you want Pat makes it right with those who have not received services whether its refund or a future stream for free.

AVW is what they are using. I believe its either an internet issue at the venue or equipment. I am sure they will do a press release. I did see something posted on Facebook from Accu-Stats admitting they messed up and would take care of it.

"To All Our Customers a sincere apology.
Yesterday ranked as the third worst day in our streaming history. Those who have been with us know what the other two were.
I am making no excuses or assigning any blame to any other entity but us. There were also no mitigating circumstances to hide behind. It was a pure and simple debacle and it was our fault.
I also apologize for the last 108 emails I didn't yet get a chance to reply to and the posters on the AZ Billiards Forums and on all the Social Sites around the world.
You all deserved better and we dropped the cueball.
We have worked diligently all night and at 7:00am this morning we believe we have solved the problem. Knock on wood and fingers crossed. Only what happens today will matter.
Great thanks to Chris Renfro of Outsville, Inc. and Jim Forsythe our ITGuy for hanging in there, offering solutions and ultimately and hopefully getting us back online for today.
Once again I apologize."

"OK - Just to add insult to injury - not only has the stream been freezing every 10 miuntes but now I just got word from the crew that the internet at the hotel is down. Manoman
Will keep you informed here - we're also having some new equipment shipped in tomorrow.
Sorry for all the hassles."

All I am saying is give the man a chance to make it right. People act as if they have been ripped off and Pat is on his way to the Bahamas. As I said I am willing to bet they make it right, its a lock!

This just in . . .

As per Jerry Forsyth on the Main Page in the News:

Play begins at 10:30 AM today and Accu-Stats has replacement equipment coming in today to get your stream going once again. We are not aware of how long it will take to unhook the malfunctioning gear and get the new stuff going but they are confident that the stream should resume today. Check with the Accu-Stats website during the day and they will let you know when they are ready to once again roll out the streams of the worlds best players. And be sure to follow all of the action with our Live Scoring page and our interactive brackets.

I get how people can be upset but, I also agree that Pat Fleming will make it right. I'm not in any way able to define what that is, but I do know they have scruples and they will get back to their customers who've complained or had issues. We, the pool community are simply not as mainstream as everyone would like it to be. Many broadcasters, promoters, producers and what have you are hanging on and doing our best to provide the public with the programming and events they deserve. Even though the demands are high during certain events the actual resources and manpower are not as ideal as we'd like them to be. The bigger something is, the bigger the problems.

I'm not trying to make excuses for these guys, but as a broadcaster myself, I know what they are going through. I wish them the best of luck for the rest of this week. I will buy a day of their show in support.

Everyone who has done a PPV has gotten bit by it, just so many variables in the equation.

Second statement, still the option of a refund is nowhere to be found. But hey, they'll let us know how things are going. And don't forget, there's always the Live Scoring. So stop whining!

In the meantime, the matches and the tournament don't wait for anyone. Some people have paid $60 for 7 days of pool action and they have lost 2 already.

No worries though, you can always BUY the forthcoming DVD!
