Does Shaw read AZB?
How do you think he learned to play? spent most of his time in the Ask the Instructor section.
I bet every single pro player is on AZ at least a couple of times a week. Most of them probably post under screen names. There's no way that pool can be your life & you don't stop by AZB.Shaw does have an acct and has made posts before if I remember right. I think last yr.

You'd probably be wrong about that. Most pro's of just about any sport or activity generally stay far away from public forums.
Yeah, I imagine that the pro's rarely waste much time on the internet at all. They have much better things to do with their time. For example, I have seen Justin Bergman post a few times on here, but if you look in his profile, you will see that he has very rarely posted on here. I remember that CJ Wiley used to post on here, but I do not think he has posted in a long time. I get the feeling that when they do post on here, it is for a good reason (like when they are marketing a product for example, or telling about an upcoming event). So, yeah, they do not come on here to waste time (I do not think).

justinb386(I do not think).
CJ stopped because he could no longer stand all the stupid pool cue threads.

Now please don't go getting "politically correct" on me with my answer.
My perspective on Shaw's learning.
He probably started from a very young age.
Probably was a nerdy-type (so was I) so used pool as a get-away. (Nothing wrong with that).
Here's the rub though...Shaw has a immense natural aptitude for this game.
His vision center is spot-on and can make balls effortlessly--kind of like R. Morris and Earl.
Shaw has simply played so much pool, that he has in his arsenal a habitual
setup that works superbly when making balls-that's nothing to say about the other aspects of his game.
That's why he can be such a fast shooter. Again, like Rodney and Earl.
congratulation to Jason on for yet another tourament win.Just wish i could have seen the last 3 balls made.again congratulation !!!!!

I'll go with that, the technical side anyway.
The psyche side I saw a bit squishy.
Anybody aware of his beginnings?
