Kuwait Tournament?

Congrats to Shaw.

I noticed there were a few matches with some good size comebacks...in alternate break.

I'm sure that will be ignored.

Congrats to Jayson Shaw for a great World 9 Ball win through a very tough field. Johnnyt

I agree 100%!!!!!!!!!!!

I third it.

Let's be real, the USA has nothing on the horizon to suggest they are going to stand a chance in the MC going forward.

Alex and Morra give them an actual glimmer of hope and Matchroom would see a huge kick in the ratings with Alex in the mix.

So Shaw has now beaten Ko in the last three major tournaments, if I'm not mistaken. World 9 ball, US Open 9 ball, and now Kuwait Open 9 ball. I would say they were building a rivalry if it wasn't so one-sided. In all seriousness though I'm sure both have a great respect for the other's game, and it's not coincidence that they meet so often in the late rounds of the big tournaments.

I don't recall the other matches, but fortune was definitely on Shaw's side in this match.

The more they play, the more I think it'll even out. Both are great players and very fun to watch.

I didn't see the W9B match, but the US Open was the match where Ko was up 10-4 and Jayson won seven straight. I love both of their games as well, but I wonder if Ko doesn't feel a bit tighter in these matches the way they've gone recently (I haven't watched this most recent one yet).

Finally, Shaw wins a big international event. Good writeup and post final match interviews http://www.azbilliards.com/news/stories/13025-shaws-thankful-redemption/

here's recording of the final match, https://www.facebook.com/saad.m.alotaibi.10/videos/10211297646307293/

i feel bad for Chang. he's played solid n both the US Open, then here in Kuwait Open. he just cant get the title.
The consolation for Chang is he is back in limelight after being under the radar for last couple of years. And he is the new WPA #1 http://www.wpa-pool.com/web/rankings and $50K prizemoney within 1 month is also not too shabby :)
