So Scott posted something about getting five US players to play five players from Europe an all-around for 100,000.00 . I love it , he's trying to get something going . Let's not stop with the MC .20,000.00 each player and let's get in on !!!! That's how we roll in America
 
Typical BS. Bark and then in the unlikely event that it actually happens, play with other people's money anyway. And then claim that's more real than the Mosconi Cup.

LOL. Seriously? The US would win one pocket. That's about it. They would lose rotation. And get OWNED in 14.1. Like, worse than the beating they took at 9 ball.

It may be worse if Europe say they want to squeeze in snooker or English 8 ball :smile:

Why do you care who puts up the money . He is just trying to get something going and so am I . I like to play strangers and I do bet my own money . Work all week and play strangers on the weekend . Gas is cheap . Where are you located ?
 
If the format was different would it even matter?? Maybe??


Races to 7 or 9
Winner breaks
Nine ball on the break in the side or above
No shot clock
One ball on the spot
Magic Rack?
Single play only.

Even with all these types of rules I dont think it would matter much. Statically Team Europe out played us in every catagory but..... This type of format could very well work better for the US players. Doesnt mean it would be lopsided. I think it would be a lot closer and thats about it.
 
Europe would get carved up in one pocket.

US would get carved up in nine ball.

US would get carved up in ten ball.

Europe would get carved up in bank pool.

US would get carved up in 14.1.

... so who would win all depends on what is meant by an all around.

Finally, this isn't how we roll in the US. I am not aware of any team vs team international gambling challenge in my years around pool.
 
I still wouldn't bet 2 cents on the side same as Mosconi. Do I enjoy watching them play - yes. Do I trust them - no.
