For 27th time, there is a full field of 128 players, with no shortage of past, present, and future champions:

Jayson Shaw (4 of the last 5 TS Championships)

Kevin Cheng
Jung Lin Chang
Darren Appleton
Jeremy Sossei
Thorsten Hohmann

Don't think for a minute that any of these players are a "lock" to win. The regular Joss Tour players just might have something to say about that. The complete player list (subject to change) is on our site www.joss9balltour.com.

The 2016-2017 Season Finale, the "Turning Stone Classic XXVIII 9-Ball Open" is now official and scheduled for August 31 thru September 3, 2017.

It always amazes me how this tournament fills up beforehand. Always! Speaks volumes about the tournament itself and how it is run. Bravo to Mike Zuglan for keeping it strong!

I wonder if JL Chang is in the USA all the way thru DCC?

Someone needs to setup an action match with Chang and Shane or Shaw.
 
And I'm sure that Matchroom will announce on about January 2nd that this is a MC point event.....and Bergman, Dechaine and Woodward don't appear to be signed up.
 
I have always looked forward to see how Mike Dechaine does at the Turning Stone events. Sadly, I don't think he's allowed to participate.

Since when? Admittedly I haven't been paying much attention to pool lately but the Joss Tour was always a staple for Mike. Did something happen between him and Mike Z?

They recently had a falling out. Zuglan said enough is enough. Think it was over racking issues at a recent tournament just prior to the Mosconi Cup.

Hi Dave
There's always more than one side to a story. All I know is Mike Dechaine has accomplished a lot for a man his age and whether I like him or not. I support him as a player. Of course I'm a little partial because he's from the East coast but so what. He has his moment's. We all do. Him and I have banged heads over the years but I always have respect for what he is capable of doing on a pool table. My words to him are and will continue to be. Be the player and Champion I know you are.

That's too bad. Hopefully they make amends. Mike D is a great player and I always enjoy watching him play.

Also, not to make this my own personal crusade...lol, but, if this is an MC points event how fair is it to exclude players? Not sure how that would work but it would seem like a fairly steep punishment.

that and having a limited field while not knowing the schedule til a very late date. like I said, only ONE of this year's US MC team members is playing.
