Who Is #2 In U;S.A?

imagine if the us women, with or without karen, had to play the euros or asians.

No need to imagine, the women's world tournament was just on, we can find the results. It's even further away from being close than the men. At least the men have some chance. I doubt the regular women top players (outside of Karen who came up from snooker and from Europe) can even beat the junior Asian and Euro players. Especially since the women's tour crashed not too long ago.

Bergman and Rocket Rodney before Deschaine as far as I am concerned. Deschaine is a decent money player but doesn't strike me as a real pro. He seems to fall apart too often under the spotlight. Yeah, he's great playing the big fish at the small pond at Snookers but he folds in the big league.

he's been beating some big names at big events with regularity for the past couple of years.

if he had a sposorship gig like shane's or the top euros, or something like whatever they taiwanese have going on, his game would really come out.

i think he crushes bergman, oscar, sky, roberts, archer, and rodney 10-ball to 100. i think he also still wins at 9-ball.

He might win against any of them, but unlikely he would crush them- especially Bergman, Archer, and Morris

Can't believe SVB hasn't had a mention. He's got to be up there or close.

Can't really make a case for anyone else to be number two to Shaw's undoubted top current form

I wish some of this people would actually gamble. If I make a statement so and so is better, I would actually bet my money.

You, and/or your backer(s) gamble, many who post here don't.

i'd be surprised if you got action vs anyone other than SVB for serious $$$, speaking of, have you given any thought to trying him some in an alternate break format?

Average winnings per event
---------------------------------
Dechaine: $1691.81
Bergman: $3732.38

So this is just the amount of money won, divided by number of events entered.
Bergman's is way higher obviously. If you remove the skewing caused by
his set with Oscar and the Young Guns event, it's $2450.33. Still significantly higher.
So it looks like he wins more money, more consistently, though MD makes up for it
by entering more tournaments.

This is a very interesting figure for me and I'd like to know the average road-cost to get to, enter and stay in these events. -- With it (motels, gas,, food, etc) you have to factor the average time it takes from one's life. (A 2-3 tournament can easily use 7-8 days). And include issues like "emergency funds, car maintenance, etc.

From that point, you could get it down to a science and the world could see how much these guys are REALLY making.... You could also factor sponsorship money, gambling, alcohol consumption, green-fees and table-time, etc.

If Shaw was a top American player he would not be on the European Mosconi cup team ;) So it's SVB #1 then a bunch of people in the next 4-5 spots that may or may not be #2 on any given day, with the best of them being second best 60% of the time probably.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Fargo ratings which show MD & JB as #2 & 3 with a fairly big gap to #4-10.
