Stan's Curious Curtain Video

I'm not going to profess about anything the Filipino's do. They are rare breeds. But that being said i know Stan has watched considerable amount of video on them so i am sure his comments relate directly to that.
Busty appears to play everything from left to right and has also stated that fact to a very good friend of mine. You dispute that but offer nothing, break down a video for us.
Then u make assumptions about what we do without really knowing what we do. I focus on edges and the object ball.
PS Footwork, wrist turns and swerve, got to be a well oiled machine to get that right on every shot.

OK, here he is explaining his super complicated fancy aiming system.
https://youtu.be/6Y2qoCtdiak?list=HL1366909338&t=2694
When he shoots from behind the back, he doesn't stroke to the left of the cue ball. How does he aim then?
Please. He just imagines the two balls colliding.
Thin, thick or straight.

Yeah sure....
Bustamante appears to play eveything from left to right because of his elbow and wrist turning. But he is using both sides. You haven't watched very carefully..... You can go back and start watching him.
He uses at least 5 left foot positions. And this is not because it just feels comfortable.
You have no idea of what footwork can do.

You say you look at the object ball and edges. When did that happen ? Show me where Stan has said he looks at edges and the object ball. I have both dvd's and have watched all the youtube videos.

P.S. You can't prove anything about the speed nonsense. If you make shots at any speed by doing exactly the same thing (you think so....), you are not aware of your adjustments. Same thing for back cuts, banks, etc.....

Happy new year !!!!!!!!!
I'd love to watch his footwork- can you provide the video? Hard enough to find video of his wrist.
The system is center to edge so i've always looked at edges.
PS Speed ? I haven't made one comment about speed.
PSS what is this "you" thing all about

Your behind the back comment shows you have no credibility here.
You posted the video and every ball he shot he started left and went right.

You haven't made any comment about speed ? Stan says there are no adjustments for speed.

So, do you adjust for different strokes on the same visual alignment ????

Do you really look at object ball edges ? Stan says your focus should be on ccb. (Ob)fuscation, remember ???? His words, not mine !!!!

Are you sure you are using pro one as Stan teaches it ????

Does he teach different things in private lessons than he did in his dvd's and youtube videos ???

Waiting for your answer.

P.S. There are many videos of Bustamante where you can see his left foot positions. Maybe you don't really like the truth.

You posted the video and every ball he shot he started left and went right.

He aims fat and spins the ob to the pocket.
He never mentioned the pivot as an aiming tool.

He was asked why he goes left to right like Chico at Hard Times.
His answer was , " nakasanayan " in Tagalog. Meaning he just got used to doing that.

There you go, behind the back. It'd be hard to go left to right then.

And oddly enough, he's not going left to right as often now.

speaking of videos:

i was watching a STR POOL match between BOB JEWETT (who seems like a nice man) and SVB.

It appears that BOB was doing a lot of shifting and moving of his bridge hand and perhaps his butt hand as part of his pre shot routine...is that part of any aiming system, if so, which one?

Perhaps someone who has taken lessons from BOB or STAN will chime in.

TIA

From Bob Jewett:
No matter how many times I protest that in the
long run you will have to depend on your pool
sense for aiming, people continue to seek out new
systems. If you’re still developing a feel for how
much of the ball to hit on various shot, maybe the
new system described below will help you.

I've never talked specifically about this with Bob but in those conversations we've had he has mentioned being influenced by some 3C and balkline instruction he's had concerning bridges. Maybe that's it, maybe not, but far more likely than any aiming system falderal.

OK, what kind of speed you talking about?

The visual alignment is for center pocket for a center ball hit, so yes on some strokes i adjust.

Yes i look at edges. You can focus on OB or CB for your last stroke. IMO it is a matter of what you are comfortable with.

Haven't had a personal lesson in a while but have been given all the updates so yes i believe i am using it as Stan teaches it.

He teaches many things in his private lessons, hence the word private.

So produce a video, i haven't found one. And don't forget to point out the many uses of his foot positions.

if i had known that pocketing a object ball was this complicated i would pursued a simpler hobby, like building atomic bombs

I never really said anything about him pivoting but if you think he doesn't then you don't know what a pivot is.

Behind the back again,lol.

Yea i've noticed that also. What has he said about that? He does seem to miss more nowadays though.

I felt I had to say something here.

If using the manual version of CTE there is a manual 1/2 tip pivot from the fixed QB to the CCB.

In pro one there is no pivot only a visual sweep (with the eyes) as you are coming down to full stance to CCB and the body follows. Its a pretty fluid motion.

Come on, John. That's (literally) DVD1 stuff that we all know. Well, most of us, at least.

Now we're focused on more important matters like why is Stan curious about a curtain, or was it Stan had a curtain that was curious. I still have no clue!

Man, I don't know Beib. That's way above my pay grade. :)

I'm not that experienced with CTE to even comment on the curtain videos. Maybe when Stan comes to St. Louis I'll have a better idea.

The claims are backed up with the experience of actually using the system, not sitting behind a keyboard.

Stans curtain videos prove nothing of any value to people wanting just to get it, I mean really understand it. If I had such a system i would take it to the players, prove its worth. Ain't happening with Stan.
The only thing that creates Stans claims are Stan Himself, not his system.

Do you really think people give a shit about people using cte? You and the rest of you cant produce Stans videos, so stop running your Mouth about experience , you have none, if so prove it. You, BELVABABY and a few others are nothing then wanna be's.
You lack any skills to me that proves you know anything about the game. Do you actually play cookie? Prove that you have any kinda of skills other then typing.

Please list your accomplishments.

When's the last time you've been let out of your mother's basement?

You have an open offer, all you need to do is visit Florida.
And i did finish 9-12 in the us amateur in 2015.

PS there are some very good players using CTE, you just don't know it.

Haven't you seen his video? His aim needs work, but is the least of his worries...
