2017 Derby City Bigfoot 10 Ball

Let's go Billy people thought I was crazy claiming he was the next big thing few yrs back

There's more to insanity than one's ability or inability to see the future in pool.

Still, you saw things well in this matter. Well done!

Banks round 10 Thorpe makes it ten straight wins, Orcullo eliminated, huge match in progress between Kiamco and Nevel who are both undefeated. About eight players will remain after this round.

First Mosconi points event of the year was Turning Stone, which Billy skipped. Next one is Derby City 9-ball beginning later this week. Let's see how he fares.

You don't often strengthen your case for Mosconi in bank pool. Billy is a top candidate this year for being on the team.

Banks round 10 is in the books and ten players now remain:

Still in undefeated: Billy Thorpe and Warren Kiamco

Still in with one loss: Dennis Hatch, Justin Bergman, Ike Runnels, Francisco Bustamante, Tony Chohan, Shannon Murphy, Larry Nevel, and, of course, Chris Melling

Banks round 11 is drawn and here are the matches (losses in parentheses) with all remaining players in action:

Justin Bergman(1) vs Francisco Bustamante(1)

Billy Thorpe (0) vs Shannon Murphy (1)

Ike Runnels (1) vs Warren Kiamco (0)

Larry Nevel (1) vs Tony Chohan (1)

Chris Melling (1) vs Dennis Hatch (1)

This round, to be played Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM, will eliminate at least three players and possibly as many as five.

Nice final at the Bigfoot so far:

Jayson "Connecticut" Shaw 7
Alex "Greece Lightning" Kazakis 6

These guys are good!

Kazakis prevails in rack 14 and we're tied at 7-7.

Shaw tries to shoot a jacked-up follow shot on the 1, misses the 1 and follows right into the corner pocket with the cueball.

Kazakis runs out to tie the match at 7-7. Shaw shooting .906, Kazakis .863.

Kazakis is a very solid player, and I have a feeling he will have an opportunity to win this match. Let's see if he can seize that opportunity like Cortezza could not.

All name players there...no Cinderella story to be had.

Whodathunk nevel or runnels would be the dogs in a pool group? Ouch. Not much air there.

Shaw gets out of line on the 9 and misses, but gets lucky to leave Kazakis safe. Kazakis kicks and hits the 9 but sells out. 8-7 Shaw. I'd say BigFoot is beating both of these guys right now.
