The rack three ball count is Chip 1 Billy 1. Billy's position looks a bit stronger than Chip's to this observer.
 
Improbably, Compton knocks two balls into Billy's pocket on one shot.

Billy leads three balls to one in rack number three. Very small positional edge to Billy as I see it.
 
Wonderful super-thin cut by Billy on the nine ball and he's up 4-1 in the rack three ball count. He's a big favorite to win this rack now.
 
Billy completes the runout effortlessly and now leads the race to 3 by 2-1.

Compton to break in rack four.
 
Yowser! Thorpe tries and misses a ball out of the pack, but somehow doesn't leave a shot. Arguably the first major "roll" of the match.
 
The rack four ball count is Billy 2 Chip 0 but Chip has a far stronger position than Billy. Safety battle in progress.
 
Billy goes wrong on a chancy short bank of the one ball and Chip has a big opportunity.
 
Compton makes four to take a 4-2 lead and continues to enjoy a strong position in rack 4, which he must win to bring the match to double hill.
 
Compton runs out and we're at double hill. Billy owns the double hill break.
 
Rack 5 ball count is Billy 1 Chip 0 but Chip is in a real jam in this safety battle.

Efren leading in balls, and completely duffs a bank. I wish I had it on video. Makes us all feel good. It was cross table bank with the object ball on the cushion. Looks like a sure kiss back, and it sure was

Corey making a few mistakes and should have already won this game. As it is, a hung ball by Corey gets Efren back to the table.
