Race to 100 betting $20,000 of your own money. Who would you pick??

Problem is, finding a top player who WILL bet his own! Everybody has to have a stakehorse AND be guaranteed money to show up and play! Many players have
said they don't bet their own but will play 'Anyone' if they get staked!
SO WILL I ! Lol.
Good luck

(1) Most pro players are broke and will dump in a heart beat for a slice of 20K

How do you know this. You are not just repeating a same old story that has been
passed around for years are you ? Please don't use the Buddy story we have all
seen and heard that a million times. Give us a bunch of examples about Shane
Dennis, and the rest of these pro players that have dumped. I for one would love
to here them. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt their feelings or knock their action since it
is common knowledge.

Someone needs to tell them

It's amazing that the stake horses don't know anything about this dumping that
goes on all the time. They just keep putting their money up and getting dumped.
One of the knock artist's on here should enlighten them. I wonder how they made
their money, they are so dumb that they don't know what is gong on when
even a stranger off the street knows all about it. Amazing
Still would like to here about all of these dumps that all of these people know about
It;s obviously common knowledge, so what's the problem with enlightening all of us
that don't know.

there is only one player i could bet on if i were betting on someone playing his own money

ME

i like to play.practice pool is making me want to quit
$5 and $10 pool is no fun
plus cheap players complain, and call fouls that don't exist

I would also bet on jackpot
sure he is as old as i am and needs weight
buthe is too stupid to even think of dumping me,or anyone else

I once took jack for a partner at golf
match play,best ball

first 9,i beat the guys 3 up without jack doing a thing

he comes up to me and says
,i can't take the money
"i am a dog"

back nine jack beat the guys with no help from me
i said"Don't look at me,i am taking the money"

So in case this thread gets around to actually playing
come to dallas with $20,000 and play pool

john barton, that low down nasty nose picker won't play anyone who won't insult him

so i think he is a sissy
afraidy cat
and not only that,he works for a livin
how smart can he be

and i will play 10 ahead one hole and so will jack, but not one pocket

John is afraid of me

he won't match up

but i still admire him and even like him

but i can get nasty if that is all it takes to get a game

I would choose an old time player named Don Willis.
Few will even know him, but he and Buck Bozeman were the best I ever saw when it came to making them balls for the gelt.
I've seen Shane pooch it, Mosconi pooch it, Grady pooch it, and I've seen Alex P. with cue ball in hand on the 8 and not get out.
Willis NEVER had the "dog" bite him in the keetser.

You got Shaw on there, but not Bergman? Did Bergman not shoot his nutz in gambling?
Maybe Shaw is like Appleton, a real good tourney player, not as much a gambler, they are to emotional to be great gamblers in my opinion.

Its is just my personal opinion.
If you think they are all alter boys have at it.
there was a top player in the New York City area that was so well known as a dump artist that Mack trucks wanted to name a new model of dump truck after him.

Johnny was a straight shooter of the highest order, for sure, but...

Efrens kicking and creativity with the cb has him in a league alone in the 80s and 90s.

Parica was the number one 9-Ball and Ten Ball player in the world back then. CJ chased Efren all over the country gambling with him but he didn't go looking for Jose.

The reality is that there are only a few top players who would or have dumped a match. I know of less than a handful that have done it. They will go nameless on here. Most good players do not want to ruin their reputation for fear of losing backers. A pool player is only as good as his backer.

He also did years in jail-just an out and out scoundrel. NY probably had 500k players in his heyday and he was one of a kind.
