Archived Cue Catalogs

Damn you Doc!!

Now I won't get anything done for the next two months - at least.

If this were the only thing had ever posted you would still be in my Hall of Fame.

Dale

Gotta keep you busy and out of trouble.

:grin::grin::grin:

I think sometimes I take it for granted that people know about these things. That's a great thing that Brunswick did.

Oh...and there is a big collection of vintage Adam catalogs online too. It's maintained on a Japanese server by Adam. When I get time I'll look for it. I looked for it yesterday but didn't find it.

Believe it or not I don't keep these things in my favorites or anything. I just remember them and go find them when I need them. And there are more.

Most of our catalogs are posted there. I did notice that we have some materials that aren't up there. I'm working on getting bigger versions of some of the materials up there as well as I noticed that Chrome doesn't like the viewer used on some as well.

Thanks! Also responded in my other thread. See list at top of page. I had provided link to your website in post #2, but will add yours as well.

Thank you. I wish all the manufacturers and makers maintained online archives of their old catalogs and brochures.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

For those of us that chase old cues it is invaluable.

For the companies that are out of business I guess it is up to us to collect them and get them online. I recently spoke to a former dealer for several now defunct brands. He recently threw away all of his old sales materials. I think I had a stroke when he told me that. Ring binders of stuff from the 1950's through the 1980's.

If I ever get the chance... I have ring binders of many of those older company's products in my office... Tim Scruggs, Joe Porper, Ray Schuler, Thomas Wayne, Richard Black, Keith Kustom, Prather, Gandy, Palmer, Huebler, Mali, Spectrum, Joss, Joss West, Adam, Helmstetter, Biagio, the list goes on. Most doesn't go farther back than the early 70's.

Some might already be out there. Trying to work out a plan to get them scanned over the next year or two.

Can this thread be a sticky?

Also, the original post could have the post number references as hot links to the posts.

To the OP: If you don't know how to create those links email me and I can fill you in.

Very cool. I bought my cue from a buddy a few years ago, and he wasn't sure what model it was and I didn't know until now. It's a Pechauer P15 from the 2003 pro series. Love my cue. Thanks for posting this.

This is the very reason I started this thread. You are more than welcome!

That would be wonderful.

The Viking comeback is a great American story and Viking has a firm place in American cue history.

For Viking, or a representative of Viking, to be involved in keeping cue history alive is really a great thing and I am sure many will appreciate it.

One of the things that's hard to find out about is some of the cues Viking has made that were "re-branded". Any resources or info on that would be stupendous. For example, there was a line of Lou Butera cues made by Viking and many people think they were imports, even "cheap" ones, and they are actually very decent Viking cues. I have one that has a 9 vinyl veneer stack, really a cool cue, made by Viking.

I am excited by your interest.:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks! I plan on spending alot more time over here.

I do have some information on a few of the rebranded cues. As I put it together I will post.

Very cool! I look forward to that information.

Additionally, I think having representatives of the manufacturers active here in the forums is invaluable, not only for the public but for the manufacturers as well.:thumbup::thumbup:

Surely it is good marketing and customer relations, helps maintain prominence of the brand, and demonstrates the commitment of the manufacturer to the product and the customer.

Thank you Scott and other members who are taking the time and have and are contributing to this thread. I like some here have an 'affinity' for 60's through early 90's Cue's and many were 'co-manufactured' using different names and or Logos.

Kind rolls,

-Kat,
