Has anyone ever heard of Blackwell cues, or ever played with one?

Al is a cool, interesting guy. I talk to him almost every week. He doesn't do metal joints and I think all of his cues are flat faced. The ones I've hit with are good players.

Al black well

I met AL about 2 years ago....he makes his cues out of Dave Bollmans old shop and learned some things from Dave. He makes a very good cue and is priced very well. And as mentioned above he is a very interesting guy and a an absolute pleasure to talk with and hang...he might even play you a song or two on his guitar!

Thanks for the info. Could you maybe compare the hit to any other known cue makers, or would you say the hit and feel of his cues are pretty unique? Thanks.

I am curious if anyone here has ever heard of Blackwell cues?

This is the only info that I could find about his cues.

Thanks for any thoughts about his cues, if you have any opinions about them.

They hit VERY similar to a Mireles cue. I'm not sure if you've heard of him. He's relatively unknown, but you can get his cues on the second hand market for a steal. I recently saw one for sale for $300....well under market value.

Very similar to the Star line of cues made by McDermott. Im not sure if you ever heard of Star but you might find them at the McDermott website.

Hit is similar to the Schon SP series and has some elements of the Pechauer P09-G cue with a hint and I mean just a hint of Predator P3 - mostly the roundness.

Which one hits better when you are broke and have to sell it? In 3 weeks.
