Orcullo vs. Frost- Live Reports

How bad was that shot on a pretty easy bank to get close

1

I was shocked Dennis would leave that shot...then when I saw the lack of accuracy on the contact i understood better. To over cut a ball by that much at this juncture of play is just a lack of execution. Follow it up with a scratch on the next shot...you end up down 7 games with Dennis 60% of the way home for the day. Also the constant comments about Scott's emotional state are probably a little out of line on the stream...we can see him fighting it and struggling...no need to go there

Dennis ran a seven from an uptable game where Scott was developing a position. You look at the table and think two or three tops and he got seven. It's seriously unreal how he's running balls for this much cash. Even in practice some of these runs are just so pure.

Here's the 11-ball Scott doesn't shot. The score stand 7 to -1, Scott, and Dennis leaves Scott dead straight into Scott's hole. Dennis has Scott so confused, he refuses to shoot the straight in for fear of a 9-out return. Instead, he shoots and hangs the 5-ball. Fortunately, he stuffed the cueball (which I guess was his plan), and Dennis is forced to go for a homerun shot that if he makes it, he probably catches up again.

Just unbelievable. I feel for Scott. I get that way like every time I play.

This is a perfect example of the saying "he's trying not to lose, when he should be trying to win."

Fast game. 26-19, Dennis up by 7. Dennis is in overdrive now. Scott sold out.

EDIT: Dennis playing in flip-flops BTW...

Now it's like a race to 21 and Scott spots Dennis 6 games on the wire......
based on what we've seen, it sure doesn't look good for Scott.....

He's got zero chance of winning unless some divine intervention happens DO is just too good for him to beat ,, I was told long ago it's only a matter of time before the best pool player becomes the best one pocket player if he puts in the time case and point is happening for Dennis like it did Alex

Dennis got into his break after like 4 shots...that should never happen. Scott in survival mode and Dennis is dictating the movement. Scott has to get it back to where Dennis can only win games cause he made incredible shots. The truth is Dennis is out moving and out shooting him right now.

Dennis almost scratches and leaves Scott shooting off the titty and misses all the balls. Totally missed the ball he was kicking at and then of course Dennis bats one in full table

Dennis now at 27 and Scott at 20...Scott really has to be at 27 to have a reasonable shot tomorrow. I can't see it happening outside of that

Looks like someone has there foot in there mouth tonite and I am not talking about Dennis or Scott.

Did Scott underestimate Dennis' firepower or overestimate his own one pocket prowess when he agreed to this match?

I think Scott beats Dennis to the shot most of the time...just struggling a bit on shots that require higher levels of execution. Problem is that equals games lost instead of a couple balls against this guy. Also Dennis is emulating a lot of what Scott has done to him throughout the match which is tough.

To Benny. Both, this match shows the true difference in overall skill of a world class player versus a person who is world class in only 1 aspect of the game. While Scott does have a top notch 1 pocket game, the rest of his skills are mid level pro as per Fargo. Dennis is exposing this and showing what world class looks like since 1 pocket takes into account all aspects of pool.

I hope SJD is watching.

Looks like the rotation player isn't doing too bad against the one-pocket king.

Dennis has overcome the "moves" with his superior firepower and he isn't doing too shabby in the "move department", himself.

You know... I will say- Dennis 'almost scratches' quite a few times, doesn't he?
