Orcullo vs. Frost- Live Reports

Here's a few things you don't know about Dennis' 1-pocket game:

1/ Dennis gave a good 1-pocket local player 15-2 and all the breaks, $100 a game and beat him.

2/ Dennis easily beat Chip Compton playing 1-pocket for the cash. (Chip is betting on Dennis in this match).

3/ Dennis easily beat Danny Smith for 6k (or more) playing even 1-pocket.

4/ Dennis played Efren even a while back and lost.

5/ he constantly stays in action.

The point is his 1-pocket knowledge has improved leaps and bounds recently. And as straight as he shoots?

Anyone that loses with that spot is not considered a good one pocket player in my book. The rest of your post I agree with.

Profundity

An actor in a well known pool shooting movie was given the following lines...............
"Human moves.....all the greats, to a man, were students of human moves".
Very profound.
The Filipino players live by this.
Scott Frost studies his audience and fans....while Dennis studies Scott Frost.

How Accurate is FargoRate?

Using the FargoRate Match Odds calculator, 40-26 is the closest to a 50/50 proposition.

Player One 816......Race To 40
Player Two 754......Race To 26
Calculate
49.1% 50.9%

Using the Fair Match calculator it shows that 10-8 is a medium Fair Match. Using those numbers 40-32 or 30-24 would be a medium Fair Match. With the current score at 30-23 it is playing out very close to the FargoRate prediction.

Well next time you can call a brother and tell him that instead of coming out after 50 games genius!

If Dennis wins this thing by a wide margin, his action is gonna disappear. He will have to give up the nuts.

Its amazing he has only been playing one pocket for a few years. In the PI great players have to run the gauntlet of all the action that goes on there.

Just to get out of the country and be a travelling pro is a world class accomplishment.

The Pinoys know what pool is all about, Its about the money and they fight and fight over it. The weak get weeded out.

Dennis is one cool customer and he wants that money bad. In the PI there is a Darwinian struggle going on for the cash every waking minute.

If Scot comes back it will be one for the record books.

Watch it...if you want some 9-3 and the crackles, you can get some too.

Then when I am done whuppin on you like that, dennis will give it a go too.

Not sure I can give it to him, but it is only a rack to 3 for $8, so who cares.

I just love to watch em roll.

Oh, he is still gonna get played.

The pool world is full of people who think NOBODY can give them 13-5...or the 4, the 8 and the breaks...

You got that right. I'd take 15-2 and the breaks all day from this guy. If he offers 15-5 I may have to politely decline.

This has been a great match and unusaul for me I have been able to watch almost all of it.

A couple thoughts..

World class is world class and Dennis's speed control and position play has been WORLD CLASS.. and IMO the difference in the match.

Scott is frustrated and I think he thought he could out move DO and keep him from shots... not smart.. good one pocket guys play shots to try and get players to go for it.. teasers and places where they might make a mistake... DO is shooting through that and there are always shots.

DO is an astute student.. I did a group lesson thing with him at Tiger Products and you could tell he was attentive to everything.. when another student tried something and the result peaked his interest DO jumped up and tried the duplicate the result and said he could use it in a different situation..the original shooter had flubbed a shot and DO figured out a way to use it.

At the above lesson I realized that DO knew a lot more than I thought. He really soaked up information along the way AND he shared a bunch of it with us.. Best $50 I have spent in pool .. 4 hours + with Dennis, a tour of Tiger Products, a TP hat and towel, saw Jay H and met some great people

Dennis is learning on the fly.. he is shooting the same shots SF is shooting on him especially in the end game

Great match and stream .. loving watching it on my 65 inch TV from my recliner..

Greenie for this!

Maybe Scott could do comments and make it another power one pocket DVD

Except it would need to be called 'Plowed One-Poket'.

Joking. There can be no doubt that scott is a great player. I wouldn't bet I coul win 1 in 4 games against dennis and dennis has made him play his best.

I have watched some of day 2 & 3.

My money is on Scott. I need to watch more highlights, but I have seen few creative escapes. All I can say is both guys take few risks. Scott takes more risks than DO and not at the right time...I don't see this being the new classic 1P archive.

Not meaning to insult the players or the production.

God's value in this match for sure. I will hold my tongue since I haven't watched it all.

Scott has been sand bagging up to this point, So they can double or triple the side bets. Today he will shine. 17 games before Dennis gets to 10. No problem! Lol
