Final from scott/dennis

Scott handed out those 14-4s and 12-5s too, don't worry about that. But there is a big difference between giving out a big spot to someone who's a chump like I, vs getting in the ring with robocop.

Really that must have been in the back room somewhere , DO was giving 20 -3 against no bodys any 13-6 against somebody's and picking up state championships while at it
I highly doubt he put half the hours in that DO did he's a pool living and eating machine 24-7

Can we please be serious here. Nobody including DO can keep that level of banking up. Incredible but unrepeatable. Got red hot and SF didn't make him pay enough when he had the opportunities. Rushed a few shots that he should have gotten out or at least taken a big ball lead from. Was ahead and got a little loose when he should have shut the door. Yes SF got a few bad rolls and ill timed skids but the match was superbly played by Dennis and almost unrepeatable.

The best bankers in the world can't repeat what we just saw.

Let me preface this by saying I don't play much one pocket.

In watching Dennis vs Scott, I felt Dennis found effective shots in which he kicked at the side of the pack more often than Scott. I found his cue ball control on these shots to be truly amazing. I did not find this surprising, as the precision kicking of the top Filipinos is one of their trademarks.

Is my observation accurate?

Absolutely! The Filipinos background in Rotation gives them a firm foundation for kicking accurately to hit the ball and play safe. Efren revolutionized American pool more with his uncanny kicking ability than anything else. You will see Filipinos kick balls into the pocket more than any other group of players. They kick to make the ball, not just hit it!

The biggest score in modern pool came when Scott gave Dippy Dave 18-3! Let's just say he and Billy made a bigger score than Team DO did this week, by far!

That said this may have been the biggest gambling match of all time! Yes, of all time. If there was 200K in the middle, there may have been 500K on the outside. Everybody bet on this match, from one end of the country to the other. Really, everywhere serious pool is played from the Northeast to Florida, across the South, through the entire Midwest, and on to California, Arizona and the Northwest, people were betting with both hands. I've never seen anything like it, everyone just loading up on one player or the other.

And that's what makes for a good match, when both sides have such ardent supporters. I know one thing, I wish I could have been booking the entire thing! How would you like a 10% piece of all that action? Hello!

Oh, nick. Ye of little faith...

Roys Basement is flush with the dollars of those who think dennis cant do the same thing tomorrow.

I think what Dennis did best was his cueball control, it was other worldly. His shotmaking was great, but then to get in the perfect spot to continue the run and make Scott pay was a thing of beauty. He did it time and time again. It was beautiful to watch.

I've been wondering if it was:
1) 100k per person making the pot $200k, but you only actually win the other guy's $100k. Or
2) 200k per person making the winnings $200k (pot 400k)

Probably a silly question, but inquiring minds...

I think you are confusing on whether DO would like to play SF again vs can ANYONE play that good on a consistent basis. That was out of this world good.

I have watched SVB run 7 pack playing 10 ball on TAR but would give anyone 3:1 that he would do it again in the next match.

I watched Alex come back from 25+ (I forget the actual number) on another TAR match. Any bets he could do that again?

DO put on a clinic. Came in ready and everything worked out. SF had no answer. It doesn't mean that DO (or any other human on the planet) can consistently make that many banks.

Tell me about it. I play a 7k match and it comes at a time when games are up 80k PER GAME at DCC making me feel like my match is a $20 match.

Last night I could have probably had 2k per set in action in OKC. I was playing for $500 a set and phone calls and texts were coming in asking if I wanted to bet more. (I won 2 out of 3 sets but kept the bet at $500 per)
