New Start - Aiming Question

You guys are awesome. Really.

I really apprecaite your willingness to help and lend your knowledge.

I would normally do that exact thing. But where I live there isn't an instructor with in 500 miles. Makes it tough.

I may eventually look into some online lessons. Just not sure how effective they are.

Thanks for the link. I wanted to read about CTE to try and understand what it's about.

No instructor near by? Take a look at StrokeAnalyzer. With the videos available on the website you can start getting your stroke in shape without an instructor. Got some problems with stroke mechanics? There are a lot of instructors here on AZB (like Randy G) that can help and potentially even analyze your stroke videos via email.

Gotta say this anlyzer is pretty cool. I've had my golf swing analyzed in a similar manner and it was the best thing I ever did for my golf game.

I love it and I want it. But I use a Mac computer.

This is right up my alley coming from a golf back ground.

I would love something like this. So similar to what I used in golf to build a great swing.

Please send me a PM aid you ever plan to have this used on a Mac as well.

you might like this device for stroke analysis
http://www.cue-md.com/
it has helped me and you dont need a video camera

That device looks intriguing, bbb.

I've endorsed this pool and billiard laser stroke trainer at: http://www.laserstroke.com/ - it is inexpensive and can be used two ways: a targeting spot laser - and has a line projected on a table or wall to show any stroke wobble. Brilliant.

I have something very similar to this that mounts on my golf club.

Only problem is I am an Apple Mac user and this is not compatible.

Truly amazing to see how far pool has come in 14 years. I love it but lots to learn.

I couldn't get my QMD to work properly and returned it. Since then I think they have a newer version out. My observation was that if you have a very small error it will probably be easier to detect visually in slow motion video replay. The advantage there is you might actually see what you are doing wrong, rather than just having electronic feedback that "something" is wrong.

I had quite a few problems getting QMD to work but I did find that they were cooperative and we (they) did it. If you do buy one the support guy is excellent. The gadget is valuable. The only problem I
have is that you need a jewelers eye piece to read it on a android phone. I am anxiously awaiting an IOS version compatible with my ipad. It also does not work with Windows 8.

Probably more info than you wanted ?

You were luckier than I. They sent me a replacement unit and replacement charger and still couldn't make it work correctly. I guess it was me. They are nice guys and work hard to build their business. I think as long as they are willing to give refunds then there's no harm in trying it.
