I am starting a new thread call Design Your Dream Shot Making Contest. I am offering the opportunity for players of all skill levels, bangers, hobbyists, short stops, even pros, interested party to design the shot making contest of their dreams. I will make this contest happen in real time, it will be streamed, and it will be free of charge no matter what the price.

The rules are simple:

Present your shots online on the AZ Billiards Main forum or Aiming Sub Forum.

No , jump shorts, masse shots, or other artistic type shots are allowed.

The shots must be of the usual variety. stop, draw, follow, running, and reverse english.

The shots can be as plain or as fancy as you like.

After a certain period, I will pick the top two players to compete in this contest.

Anyone that submitted a shot making contest can then vote for the contest they like best.

I will make the contest happen and present it to the viewers at no charge.

Is it going to be a shoot off type thing between two players? Like Horse kind of? How are you going to stream it?

Wow, now I know why this thread was started. HA. Good one. As I posted in the other thread, Stroud will use the "Design Your Dream" cue to take down Barton, Stan, and CTE, all in one game. Maybe he'll win 100K, by making all 100 shots, and Stan making none! LOL. Maybe none of them will show up? Maybe the design your cue winner will be there and take on the winner of the shot making contest with a house cue? As the world turns.

not sure what you're looking for here. i have a shot submission if that's partly what you're looking for:

object ball 3 diamonds from a corner pocket 1 diamond from the side rail. the cueball at 5 diamonds and 1 diamond from the side rail (both in line with the side rail). Object is to firmly pocket the ball in the corner with high inside so the cueball travels around the table 3 rails to the opposite corner.

It's a tricky shot that takes a lot of adjusting and compensating from how you would normally pocket that shot.

Aiming system users are barred.

Oh wait, you can't tell when a person who has mastered an aiming system is actually using it. Never mind then let the contest commence.

Are you going to then never return to this contest thread again and never answer anyone's question of "whatever happened to the dream shot contest?"

I want to make sure you're consistent with some past contests.

Carry on.

Just a quick update on my contest:

I wasn't able to print out all the submissions because I got out of the printing business after the last time my cartridges ran out of ink. I ended up selling my worthless inkjet printer to some unsuspecting old lady at a garage sell for 40 buckaroos. What a sucker she was! Plus, I've been too busy working on my own shot-making to concern myself with this contest. So while I somewhat appreciate all the time and effort everyone put in to this, I'm just going to keep all the money I intended to pay out to the winner, or I could possibly donate it to charity but that would mean I would have to start a GoFundMe campaign in my own name. Afterall, who could really be more worthy of this cash than yours truly?

If it makes any of you feel better you can continue to send in your shots but know that I will completely ignore the winner of my contest for the remainder of my days here.

Just wanted to keep you all informed.

I think this or something like it should be revived. With the smartphone day and age and everyone being able to record a video and upload it to youtube.

Do something like post your favorite (non artistic pool) shot. Do it twice in row in the video so it's not one of those 1-offs.

Doesnt really have to be a contest. Just think it would be cool to see some members show off some skills.

Or maybe someone could do a contest where you design a cue of your dreams and a famous cue maker could build it.
