They had a mini-tournament today at Hawaiian Brian's with six local players and C. J. and Rodney Morris. First prize was $1000 and $500 for second.

Single elimination race to nine, 9-ball.

Finals were C. J. and Rodney and C.J won 9-6. The final game was won by C. J. three-fouling Rodney out with the 2-ball wedged in the head corner pocket.

Didn't realize they still ran tourneys at "Brian's."
That must have been a treat for the room.

Do you live on O'ahu?
I go there every year on vacay, maybe we can play some when I come there in November?

And I'll throw in the fact that he was playing to a partisan crowd, who were obviously all rooting for their hometown hero, Rodney.

Both him and Rodney played well, with each of them only making a couple of minor errors. CJ's safety game was exceptional. He was killing people with his lock-tight safeties that were almost impossible to get out of.

The one that ended the game was classic. How many times do you see Rodney three-fouling out? That should tell you how tight they were.

I haven't seen C. J. Wiley play for years.

It is nice to see him play and hopefully the prize money was enough to play for all travel expenses.
