Difference In A $100 Cue And A $10,000 Cue

Difference in a $100 cue and a $10,000 cue. Same as this video. In the hands of a player, there isn't much difference.

I gave you credit for being a little better at math!...The difference is obviously the same as the guitar--$9,900..:sorry:

PS..What the Hell does a 'player' have to do with it!..:confused::confused:..Unless of course
its your hero.(CJ)

IMO, a good $150 cue that is the right weight and feel for you is just as good as a 10k cue...playing wise. Johnnyt

Long Term the two will not compare.
Loose turners.
Corrosion of cheaply plated parts.
Pots that will wear out quickly..

Will those parts wear out 100X faster?

That is, you can replace the $100 bass guitar 100 times before it costs you as much as the $10K one at the start.

Then I assume that you only own a $35 Buttwiper cue?

I'd like to see him draw the cue ball more than 1ft with either of those things! Haaaa

Oh yeah! The main difference is quality
of construction, and materials used. Plus, the name. Lol.
Don't expect a Kia Rio to do the job of a F450.
What if you were in a match, and your ferrule
cracked off during play, or the cheap whippy shaft
gives you inconsistent results on key shots?
Even if you grab a house stick to finish,
chances are your pissed and nerves will show it.
A better quality cue will ensure certain variables are at
a minimum. Giving you more confidence.
An outstanding cue doesn't have to costs thousands.
But the one's that do- there's not much arguing over performance. It's an investment choice like any other.

Both cues and guitars are tools, at times esthetically pleasing tools.

In my opinion and the stereo system I use, Claro Omega sound
card going into PreSonus Central Station and then into Focal Audio Twin 6 BE,

the 10k bass clearly sounds much and I do mean much better than the other two.
It completely dominated.

The 100 dollar one sounds like absolute crap compared to the 700 and the 10k.

Probably if one wasn't after the specific pickup adjustments etc they'd do just fine with the Fender for years.

As it relates to cues I find that after a certain price point the collector's value adds to the price as well.
It isn't just about the difference in hit.

I agree, the more expensive base does sound way better! And I picked that up just listening on my iPad. A whole lot more depth to the tone. Now, a huge part of that may be just in the pickup, but I don't know.

That being said....music and instruments are different. He can play just as good on either, though one clearly sounds superior.

Pool is a little different...it's more pure performance quality based than music where the qualities that go into making the sound after the player has performed the proper mechanical tasks can have a big effect on the overall outcome.

With pool cues I do believe anyone can play at their top level with a relatively inexpensive cue that is suited to their tastes. Not sure I'd go so far as to say $100 would get you there. But give $300-500 and I definitely think anyone can find a playing cue that won't hamper their performance at all. And for many people $200 would probably do it, especially if they're not LD players.

That doesn't mean they'll enjoy using it as much but I think they can play just as good.

Still, doesn't mean we should all be playing with $200 cues. I know my Runde doesn't make me play any better than my Schon or my Jacoby did ($400 or less cues). But I love it and I'm glad I spent the money on it because it makes me happy everything I pull it out to play.

Like Snap-on and Harbor Freight?
Both are Tools.

BTW - I'm a tool.

^^^ What he said about the audio,,,,, I think. Anyway, I got a $1000 in a cue and I can't see me going more for any reason, (I'm blue collar retired). I miss just as many and just as easily with it as I do with my McD D-3, my Pechauer, or my Schmelke SP. !!! LOL (I"m consistent)
