Would you pay to watch a big money match between Alex Pagulayan and Dennis Orcollo?

I do not know if these 2 players have had any big money matches in the past (I have not really followed the news about pool matches over the years), but I would love to watch one between them 2 players.

I do not know, but these 2 players seem to be the top 1 pocket players (or gamblers) at the moment. They both (in recent times) beat the player who was considered to be the best 1 pocket player in the world.

So have they had any really big 1 pocket matches (against each other) in recent times, and if not, then why have they not?

Would it not be a really great match up for the fans to watch?

Would it not be a close match, with them playing even 1 pocket, in either an ahead set, or a long race?

Just curious why there have not been any talk about these 2 players matching up, and if I missed any news about it, then I am sorry I asked.

I would just love to see a great 1 pocket match between them.

Who do you think would be the favorite, and do you think it would be close in a long race or "ahead" match?

Thanks, and sorry if this has already been talked about (I must have missed it, if it has).

Alex has stated to me in the last few weeks that Dennis can get action.

They just had a great match in the finals of the California billiards club one pocket tournament. Check out the replay if you missed it on POVpool.com

I'm not even joking here, why don't Alex and Dennis get together, play for a grand, borrow a friends video camera (like the old one angle accustat videos which were great for learning purposes), upload the match to a file transfer service and charge money for people to purchase it.

No cost production essentially, and I bet the players could divvy up a pretty decent sum however they saw fit.

Come up with something to make these things worthwhile for the players, and maybe an idea like this would catch on. They could just tell everyone they were playing for five or ten grand too, maybe add a player commentary track to it after the fact... I mean get creative.

Why don't you go fight a bear for a thousand? Coz it is too hard and there is a strong likelihood you won't win. And bears smell bad. Plus, they got no money.

But seriously, what service will host that product, what is the break even point and how many purchasers are they likely to get?

They play pool. That is what they do.

I usually stop reading right there when a question starts out that way.

.
That and the fact that "you know who" was doing the asking. Hell, i've got him on "ignore" and its almost esp that i can tell what he's saying.

They just played in the finals of the first two tournaments of the West Coast Swing and Dennis won both matches. It wasn't big money but believe me, they both wanted to win! There are no deals or savers when these two play!
P.S. FYI, Dennis is very fond of winning the whole enchilada regardless of who he's playing. Like Shane, he doesn't like to make deals.

maybe, 9 or 10 ball only though...possibly 8 ball

the other games simply don't suit broadcasting imo

This is a good idea if.....
Good view of table from higher up than most I've seen.
Decent sound from an overhead mike, not the one on the camera.
Uploading and streaming services are already on YouTube.

***Pay Money?***
Maybe a dollar.

He might not "like" to do deals, but he most certainly has done savers in the past.

I am on the other end...i think 1p is the true draw and the only game tha can truly allow them to flex muscles.

I would be unlikely to purchase a live stream, but i would want a copy for my own use.

This is history...the game changed in the past 5yrs.

Tell me about a few of them, I'm curious.
Maybe Justin Bergman can chime in. I know for a fact that he offered Dennis a saver when they were playing for 1st and 2nd about a year or so ago. I think that Justin offered to split, with the winner getting $500 extra, and Dennis countered with the winner getting $1000 extra.

Maybe you can check with Dennis. I'm sure that he will be honest with you when confronted with a real situation.

And??? What happened? You say that you know the facts. I'm curious as well. Talk or actuality?

Eyewitness. That was the deal that they went with. Winner gets $1000 extra. Now, can I prove it in a court of law? Probably not. But I know what I saw and heard.

EDIT: I should clarify before some wiseguy interrogates me -- I did not see money change hands, but that is the deal that they agreed upon before playing the finals.
