Who needs tv? Much better to watch a stream...stationary camera...with commentary is cool too. It would be great if during tournaments they had a camera at every table so you can switch between matches.

Yep, also been thought of, who will pay for the setup and the space to put the cameras? A lot of things would be nice to have, like pro players being able to actually make a living past the top few players, retirement funds, healthcare, national recruitment program and training for younger players, a real pro tour, hell some people wish they had free water.

But you know what would be better? If everybody could have everything for nothing, always.
And i could ride my widdle bicycle outside in the rain and not get wet.
I also want to eat doughnuts and steak all the time, but be healthy like a kale and grilled fish mufukker.
Wake up.
The problem is the people running pool are gouging the players. The players are as much to blame...nobody is speaking out...what do they have to lose? $8000 first place with the top players in the world in the field? How was Efren playing for $100,000 over a decade ago and now he's sitting on a stool in japan racking his own balls?
Bring it up in the next budget meeting and please keep it in mind that we cannot eat leaves and shit money.
I would like to see a breakdown of the payout structure for any given tournament...just what percentage of the take is actually going to the players. By take I mean after all proceeds are considered...right down to the food and beverage sales.

It's coming, just wait. I remember going to tv production college and we used some cameras that the Jackie Gleason show had used when it was in Miami. These black and white cameras were donated to the college. I think the new price at the time was close to $50,000 each.
Now, thanks to technology and freedom, prices are closer to $50 each, with much better quality color images....and the net to "broadcast" those images to the world.
Remember just a few years ago, the calls here were towards getting ESPN to show more pool. Now, ESPN is losing viewers at a rapid pace while pool streaming is growing. Things change rapidly nowadays.
Just wait....many more marvelous things will happen in this area.

Do what the other guy said...set up cams...charge to watch live if you want...get sponsorships involved. Where is the Predator open? The Simonas open? The Diamond open?
Hope you're right...and you probably are. Live stream is a technology in it's infancy.
