Without a doubt the milk Duds are my favorite non layered tips. They will definitely not hold us back :-)

they are excellent quality and very affordable and pooldawg8 is a great guy to deal with.

I like a hard tip and I play Triangles. Any discernable differences between the Milk Dud and the Triangle? Are they similar in hit?

To me, the triangles play illogically hard, given their duro-measure. They also require too frequent scuffing.

The duds play softer, but don't squish like some soft layered tips do.

At a couple bucks a piece, I think they might be the best value pool accessory available.

Thanks for the reply. I'll stick with the Triangles then. I even like my Triangles pressed.

Best tip out there. I break with it also, has NEVER mushroomed and rarely needs scuffing!

I can say that about my Triangle tips too. That is why I asked about the difference between the two, to see if they were worth a try even though I am happy with my current tips.

I haven't shaped or scuffed my Triangles in about two months. Think I will do that tonight before my match, just because I haven't in a while.

The last few years I have used both Dawgs MD's and Triangles on my cues and keep stock. Both are very low maintenance. Triangle on my Present 'Player' for last 6+ months. I cut my Triangles down out of the gate. Shorter they get within reason the better they play 4 me.

Have a good day,

-Kat,

I like Jeff's tips, think they are one of the better ones out there for guys who like triangles or even a lepro. I've played the milk duds for years, and had no complaints. Right now I'm trying out Searing's tips, and when they are worn down I'll switch back over to the milk dud. Don't see any reason to switch, even though it is a quality tip, the tips from Jeff do everything I need a tip to do, at under 5 dollars a tip.

they are extremely easy to make btw

drop an elkmaster in milk, put it in the microwave for 30s, let it cool to room temp, put it in the fridge overnight, take it out, let it dry completely, press in a C-clamp until very thin for a day or two, install and enjoy

I made 50 for under $30; lifetime supply haha

it'll probably mushroom a little after your first session, but trim it off and it'll never happen again

What watt microwave? Nevermind, I'll just get 'em from Jeff until he start charging over $10 each. Hell, I'll never live long enough to see that price! Best bargain on any pool related item!

Milkdud..

I recently bought a SS360/2 shaft from a member and didn’t ask about the tip since I use Precision tips and was going to change it anyway. I played with the shaft last weekend and really really liked the way the tip played so I emailed the guy I bought it from and come to find out it’s a MILKDUD (Elkmaster) tip he bought off of Ebay.

I’m definitely going to try out pooldawgs Milkduds (only read good reviews) but should I expect to see a playability difference between who makes the milkdud?

Thanks
Jim C..

The difference between the triangle and the milk dud is so small in my opinion ,why bother making them.

Not to mention what a great person Jeff Snowberger is.
Jeff is truly one of the best people I have ever known, and a good friend although we have never met.

A lot of great stories about Jeff outside of the DawgDud world that he lives in.

As Jeff's International sales and marketing director, I have tried to get him to raise prices but he won't do it.

☮️ Peace
Ted
