To be fair they did add a thousand to 3rd lol. But honestly we don't know if that 10k is spread to the rest of the cash payouts and tbh I certainly hope so because I believe 50k is absolutely the least a player should get for winning the hardest major tournament in the world not to mention the biggest entry fee at that

I'm fine with these payouts. If you make it to the final day, you are guaranteed 8,000 which is about what you get for winning Turning Stone, a very tough event to win. The last four will have a nice payday, and that's as it should be.

Nice payouts.

Yes, 3rd place used to be $10,000. I remember. :grin-square:

Nice 5-6th finishes from Naoyuki Oi and Ko Ping-Chung... $5,750 each

Final four players payouts and match times listed on the bracket

Francisco Sanchez Ruiz vs Jayson Shaw winners side match

Jung-Lin Chang vs Klentì KaÇi one loss side match

I wonder what the payouts are on down to 48th place? It's kind of cool to see where everyone finished.

Thanks
Last years payouts
1st 50000
2nd 24000
3rd 11500
4th 8000
5th-6th 5750
7th-8th 4500

So they only drop the 1st prize by $10K and maintain the lower prizes

While really not that big of a difference, it seems totally different between 40 and fiddy dudnt?

Congrats to those who did well. Just a damn shame the money isn't more comparable to other major sports. I'm guessing this is the best paying tourny in the US? How do tournaments in other parts of the world rate?

US Open $40K
WPA 9b $40K
China Open $40K
Kuwait Open $50K (last yr was thr first event, not sure if there'll be subsequent events)

Mosconi Cup $20K/player. Has been easy money for Team Euro.

DCC $10-16K depending on event with $20K master of table.

Matchbox usually have invitational events that are $15-30K(2 man team)

Turning Stone is $8-10K.

Japan Open @ 20K.

The Chinese 8b event is @$90K.
