I agree. I think CShot 10ball(no call safe) should be the pro game. I say no CSafe because IMHO the two-way shot should always be in the game. Ruslan is one helluva talent but i REALLY hope OD takes it down.

Ruslan 91 to Oscar 87 after 178 games, so theres potential for someone to be 5 games loser after 227 games...me thinks. Would be a good match for an ahead set
 
Well, the Russian came with it on the last day. OD made a few mistakes and got duly punished for them. Great match overall and a well commentated stream.

I like Ra's energy and thought it was great when Sal was in the booth with him. Both have good clear voices (Very important!) and are easy to understand. You add in Ra's energy and Sal's knowledge and you have a winning team. I'm not saying Ra doesn't know pool by any means. Even better he knows when and what to comment on and when to let his co-com do the talking and explaining. That is an innate quality and some commentators have it and some never get it! They both have a good sense of humor which is a big plus and they know to stick to the match, which seems to be lost on some other streams I've watched. I've always felt the time for stories is between games and not during, and even then they should be short and sweet and appropriate to the situation.

Hat's off to On The Wire and Sal Butera for staging this interesting and exciting match and putting it on a free stream. I suspect the donations (there were lots!) more then defrayed their costs and made a nice profit for them, which means we may get more matches like this. This is a winning business model for pool streaming!

Somehow this match reminded me of the roots of pool and what makes our sport so interesting. There is no other game where two gladiators can go out it and entertain their audience without a tournament being staged around it. I love seeing two guys getting down in the dirt and going for it! It's kind of like watching a good street fight without the violence.

This^^^^^^and Props to both, especially Oscar for the Sportsmanship, couldn't have watched a better match!


Too bad Oscar took some off his break, he had a real shot at winning this.

The real winners were all of us watching, fantastic play by both.
