I heard from a guy who bought some of the old Anniversary tops that soooo much of the old parts got trashed... SUCH A WASTE! Who even does that to an ANNIVERSARY???
Surprised even one person is even bidding on them...

I would assume that Brunswick themselves sold them the new tops..... Rendering them useless as awesome tables after, I did get some parts out of the guy in Lansing. Right? What is that? It's just a fact.

Were the tops a direct switch or did a bunch of mods need to be done? They'd be ok players just no collector value?
Welcome to America, where we tear down perfectly food structures, just to replace them with newer ones.

From what I heard the tops and slates were trashed. So I would assume they only used the frames an bases. I would not recommend one to anyone, they look HIDEOUS! I did get lucky enough to buy some of the parts the guy had left over, the way he made it sound is like it was a massacre: Lots of broken and abused stuff. He did manage to get one full table that was in restorable condition. Still a shame.

The slates are interchangeable between the two, so pretty much a direct swap.
Yeah I was having this conversation the other day with a co-worker. 50 years ago the universities would of turned projects like this over to the Industrial Engineering Department and most likely they would have made those rails and tops better than Brunswick ever did.

I recently worked on a GC1( Same frame as Anniversary) and it had GC3 slates, they did not fit exactly, the pockets are cut totally different. the frame is larger on the GC1. It worked, but, had to trim the side pockets heavily.
For the sake of not ruining perfectly good Anniversary's, the time and labor they could have just bought new tables. Its not like U.M. could not afford it!

GC4 rails, pocket liners are flush to the casting.:thumbup:

I grew up on the beach in FLA, I skate, surf and snowboard. Pool is my interest in a "sport".. I have no interest in playing or especially watching team sports such as football or basketball.
