My link, I open it up on my PC in Edge browser, it goes to the stream and pops up a login page and at the bottom you can click "Not Now". It has been playing nonstop since, without me having to login.

I'm gong to stop by tomorrow night and I'll ask Al what's up with the Facebook switch. I've also been absent from that place. In my mind, having it stream on Facebook is asking people to just leave AZ and go over there. I'm sure once over there, the chats, and links will lead anyone to just stay there.
AZ should be priority here.

First, I'm sorry to hear about Karen's back. That is awful! Second, the one thing that is great about Mike is he shows no favoritism, even to pool's super stars like Dennis.

Third, isn't it amazing how this one tournament of 128 players fills up well before the opening day? It is amazing to me! You don't see this very much in other events. This speaks volumes about Turning Stone and Joss Tour, about how much folks really enjoy this venue and tournament.

The idea of an anal probe by facebook doesn't appeal to me...
 
You're right. Mike Zuglan shows no favoritism. A local amateur receives the same treatment as does SVB or Shaw. When a player commits to play in TS, he must pay by a certain date and that's it. No refunds for any reason. If you drop out, then Zuglan can allow another player on the waiting list to take your place, but the waiting list player also pays the entry fee. Everyone understands this upfront and TS fills up every time.

That link is now showing me a video from yesterday since they arent broadcasting yet today.

The link on AZ's main site just takes me to Al's facebook frontpage where you need to be a member to continue.

2 different links. I created a bogus facebook account yesterday. Something I should have done years ago.

Just an fyi:

I'm pretty resistant to change and it was only because my gf insisted maybe 5 or 6 years ago that I got on FB. She wanted me to be able to see the various updates and family pictures, etc. she and her group wanted to share.

At first it was awkward but since has become a running joke that I don't want FB friends - nothing personal but I don't accept friend requests and there's been quite a few from friends and family members; even my two sons and their families. Besides my girl I will admit that I did become FB friends with just one other person and that was Grady Matthews. My boys would be offended if they knew. :grin: Since Grady died, I'm again friendless on FB except for my gf and that works for me.

Why I'm bringing all of this up here is to underscore that there really isn't much to setting up a FB account and there seems to be more and more FB pool streams popping up that are good quality, free and best of all for me, no popup ads like what usually plagues ustream streams. After a while it feels like I'm playing whack-a-mole trying to keep closing the "click here to learn how to stop these shit ads" popups.

I use FB on a very limited basis and so can you. There are a few good pool equipment forums and these increasing pool streams are a draw.

And with all of the recent scrutiny over privacy aimed at FB, I believe their anal probes are much shorter than they used to be. :eek:

I was on facebook as myself and quit that shit back in 2009. I have no personal desire to go back other then all the pool stuff that I am missing regularly... like Roy's Basement and other streams.

If someone is my friend, like an actual friend... call me or text me... we don't need to share bullshit status' and pics on FB.

That's correct. There won't be one continuous link for Turning Stone. Every match on Facebook they stop and start a new "stream" so the link will be different. I think there is a time limit, more than for what one match would be but maybe not enough for two so they just apparently are going to wipe the slate clean and refresh with a new feed at the start of every match.

You don't have to have a Facebook account to watch this. I tested that out fine yesterday. Of course there is that Canuck with an issue but they don't count :)
