The game of “corners” is a predecessor of one pocket. About a dozen corners tables in USA....Ft Collins I think (Colorado for certain) ? and Joplin are their locations

One pocket is so slow even for 1P Players sometimes, I play 1P sometimes and I can't stand watching a whole match of 1pocket believe it or not.

Besides some people are very slow when they play one pocket, I got a friend who takes forever to make shots in one pocket that sometimes he makes me want to quit, and I did a couple of times.
 
So, some of us were sitting around the pool hall talking about HAMB (Hit A Million Balls) and who has done it, etc. etc. I asked the guy on the 1P table if he'd shot his millions shots yet. He said, "Well, this game's not over, yet."

Wow, one pocket is so slow, after roughly 121,000views on this thread, we still cannot agree upon the right shot to the opening break...
 
So, inspired by Efren's magic, I hit my ball into my pocket really hard and fast so it would come 4 rails around into position....and I nailed it!!! Yeah, baby!

Then someone tapped my on the shoulder, I turn around and there's a cop. He hands me a speeding ticket.
